| #1 Posted on 15.8.04 2303.07 | Instant Rating: 0.79 | Funny Moment of the Night: During the JBL vs. Undertaker match, a fan in the crowd jumped over the guard railing and started running on top of the limo. Security tried to go after him as he kept running back and forth. Obviously, security didn't go on the top of the limo because of the planned spot with the Chokeslam later on. The crowd was stunned to see JBL go through the top later in the match as they realized the fan could have screwed it up for the show. | Promote this thread! | | geemoney

I mean it's bad when you can see the damn thing was cut right down the middle.
Still JBL took one hell of an ass kicking from The Taker tonight who was in his MMA Form tonight.

Absolutely not!!! That was for Bradshaw! The guy who danced on the limo got a "T.O. RULES!!!!" chant, as well as a massive pop as security dragged him away to what was likely the biggest beatdown of his life.

BTW, did anyone else catch the HUGE whiffer of a punch that Undertaker threw at JBL and missed him with, but JBL tried to sell it anyway? It came near the end of the match when they were outside the ring near the steel steps near the ring posts. It's not often 'Taker makes a screw up, but last night was one of 'em. | SirNorty

I saw that and I was laughing my ass off. I was also laughing when the limo spot happened. Now that I understand a fan messed it up, I don't think of it as the most fake thing i've seen in the WWE | fuelinjected

1. The Wave 2. A Spanish Table Chant 3. Undertaker being unable to get his foot back over the top rope 4. The guy running on the limo 5. The crowd actually getting into some nearfalls and then them doing a lame DQ finish to kill them again 6. Taker whiffing HUGE on a punch 7. Taker slipping off the limo 8. The crowd chanting "Hey Hey Hey Goodbye" at JBL and Tazz getting upset only for OJ to turn it into a comedy spot

Now, define "shit kicked out of him". Do they actually take swings at him & kick him, or do they just kinda rough him up with choke holds & throw him around and whatnot?
Also, did the kid run on the rigged half of the limo?

In front of the crowd, they simply threw him around. They grabbed him while he was still on the windshield - and proceeded to rough him up as they took him to the back. No beatdowns or anything.

Yup, and he exposed the upcoming spot. He tore a hole down the middle of the vinyl - and if the cameras kept you guys from seeing it, then god bless 'em because it was a pretty big tear.

However, I didn't notice the tear in the limo, must have been from where I was sitting. Looks I was on the opposite side of you, from your pictures....

At actual sporting events the wave is good. In the middle of wrestling match?!? NO!
Here are some comments from an other message board that agree with this post too.
Chris Murray from betweentheropes.com messageboard It was as if 17,640 "smart" fans packed the Air Canada Centre. It reminded of an ECW crowd (and not in a good way) at times with some of the chants and responses. They made some noise, but it was usually for the wrong reasons.
From the same messageboard. sweet2sweet Agreed, its cool when the crowd turns on a baby, say ONCE in the night... and I thought that would be only Eugene... but not all of them Sure a crowd can cheer and boo who they want but it seemed like they just did it to be dicks.
Apparently the Toronto fans sorta made the show a bit lack luster/wrestlecrap material to me and besides making me feel like I was going to vomit. Anyways if you would like to cruise over to the other board and read some of the similar reponces here is a link... Between The Ropes Messageboard Thread

And to those who say we ruined the show, screw you. We have a right to cheer or boo whoever we wish. Wasn't that the WWF's motto a few years back? (when they criticized WCW for not allowing WWF related signs).

That's like saying that Americans/Canadiens have the right to boo each others national anthems. They do have the right, but you just don't do something like that because it's being overly obnoxious and in bad taste.

Canadian crowds are always awesome from shouting ''2'' to being really rowdy but some of the matches were ruined by the crowd at SummerSlam.
I also recall Undertaker blowing a punch a while back but I can't remember when.

It wouldn't have been bad if they'd have booed one or two faces, but it was like the crowd was TRYING to be as obnoxious as possible.

If you want to talk about the all time king when it comes to missing punches...look no further then Ray Trailor A.K.A The Big Boss Man.
He would always land about two or three big Phantom Punches in a match. You could actually slow motion it and see him miss by a good couple of inches.
Toronto will get a ppv again...just not an important one like SummerSlam.
