I'm trying to set up a blog database on my hosted site and as usual don't know nearly enough about what I'm doing. I'm just kinda picking things up as they become necessary. An early stumbling block is that I need to change the permissions of a few folder by "chmod +w" ing them. I can't figure out where i would run such a command though and so far google hasn't really been very helpful.
any help would be much appreciated.

Is your server using CPanel? If so, I can help you. If not, then not so much...

Thanks for the offer. I've since learned you can run a command/modify properties from the WS FTP file tree. Something you can not do in Dreamweaver which is what I was using.

(Not sure if this should go here or not, but I figured it was the best spot since it's tech-toy related. If the powers-that-be feel it should be someplace else, my apologies.) I'm in the market for a soundbar to go with my new TV and electronics setup.
