So, i'm trying to login into my ftp area, and i have everything typed correctly, but when going to connect .. it just says "connecting" then dies.

i checked my firewall, and have allowed my ftp client to access the net .. still nothing ..

help .. please

Do you have a software firewall or a hardware firewall? I've had Zone Alarm block an application before where it appeared to just hang, but I had missed acknowledging a prompt from Zone Alarm.

Back when I had a PC, there was a program I had called AIM Plus that basically cloned AIM on your computer so you could have two copies of the program running at once. I can't find anything like that for my Mac.
