So the dude, George Butler, that did "Pumping Iron" followed the FSU football team last season shooting for a documentary.

Lots of stuff on what Jeff Bowden and Bobby Bowden went through. Pranks, jokes, sideline rants, and locker room speeches of course included.

I have no clue if this will actually end up on tv or in the theatres or what, but being a big FSU fan I would be very interested in seeing it. But will other college football fans want to, or sports fans in general? I'm kinda doubtful. They said it'll be done by October with either a 2 hour movie or 5 hour long episodes TV release hopeful for next year.

I'd give you the link, but it's a Seminole fan site (Warchant.com) and the article is one you have to pay to read.

I can't see much interest. The Seminoles weren't very good and I don't know if Butler had access to anything that might be interesting to non-FSU fans.

I think his point was that them having not just a bad season but one in which Bowden's son was forced to resign made for good drama, as well as getting to see a top school's coaching staff in action during a season.

But yeah I'm with you in that I don't think it will generate much interest as a movie, though I could see a TV version doing decent for that sort of thing.

The Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts (I'll never get tired of saying that!) signed defensive end Dwight Freeney to a 6-year, $72 million contract which makes him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.
