WWE.com is hyping the Hart Foundation vs. the British Bulldogs for tonight's Confidential. Tazz is also the guest on Outside the Ropes. The rest of the show looks pretty crappy, RVD & Shawn Michaels climb some bridge in Australia, Stacy gets her picture taken and HHH shoots a commercial. Oh, and part 2 of the 3 part Superstar Billy Graham story.

I just found it interesting that they actually hyped the From the Vault segment on the front page. I don't recall them ever doing this before. Maybe they noticed that people actually like this segment?

Knowing my luck, it will be the one where the tag titles switch, with Danny Davis heeling it up to the nth level.

I hope it's the one from SNME where it was a wicked 2 out of 3 falls match. I watched the tape of that over and over and over until it broke our VCR. I'll never forget seeing Bret Hart miss a cross-body and crotch himself on the ropes sideways. That was a beauty.

That looked like an awesome match...too bad they clipped it and only showed about two minutes of it. Hopefully they'll include some Harts/Bulldogs on the Bret DVD that is rumoured to have been in discussion.

I watched it last night as well, and can't believe they showed less than three minutes of the actual match. I remember it being at least twenty on television, though it was so long ago I could be wrong. Anyways, next time, WWE may want to clip the multiple replays of Matilda attacking Jimmy Hart and use the limited time they have to show the actual MATCH.

I'm also a little appalled at the Superstar Graham segment. I mean, I can't believe how much this guy has done a 180 degree turn now that there's a book deal in place. "Vince McMahon never suggested that I take any sort of steroid or pain pill, he's 100 percent innocent, I'm 100 percent guilty, blah blah blah". And his wife/daughter did the exact same thing.

I'm not saying Graham was right (or wrong) in his previous arguments about the WWF and its steroid policy, but it would have nice for someone - at least once - to stick to their guns and tell that truth. It makes what Piper said on that HBO show look that much braver for giving an honest opinion (even if it WAS probably deluded).

And one final thought about that segment - McMahon says he wished he could wring Graham's neck (and I think he said break it, too) after Graham's comments on Donahue. Like Vince McMahon would have actually been able to take a guy that big, who was dealing with major roid rage to boot. But anyways, now Graham is DEFENDING this guy? Please...

The making of the YJ Stinger commerical segment was great! Triple H was decribing the commerical, and suddenly it dawned on him- this was the dumbest commerical in the history of the world. "SoO the kid spits it out and the spit particles turn into....um...yellowjackets....." From that point on he focuses on the hot girls in the commerical and seemed to be hanging his head in shame. It was too funny!

I think at the point in time Vince was refering to, Superstar was in some pretty bad shape. That's actually the reason he filed a lawsuit. He had already had like three operations, and he was walking with a cane. Hell, I probably could have taken him in the shape he was in. And as for the way they clipped the hell out of the match, I really think what they should do is have a "From the Vault" tv show. Just a one hour show where they show three matches from the archives in full. Like now, you pick three guys from the roster to pick out a match and explain a little about its history and significance. It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than a wrestling network, but it would provide a lot of what people would want from one.

Billy Graham admitted years ago that his claims were made up; it was part of making amends for his past sins when he found religion.

Vince McMahon couldn't take Bret Hart, who is 30 pounds lighter than him. I don't think size has anything to do with being able to beat up Vince McMahon. I'm sure almost any healthy person can beat up a water-logged sixty-year-old who fights like a prison bitch.

Yet again, Vince McMahon is able; as the only game in town, to have history rewritten completely in his favor as the wrestlers who have stated negative opinions of him in the past have to recant/claim they lied about any negative comments made about Vince since they have blown all their money. Of course, Vince calling Billy Graham a con-man was hilarious, as Vince should know a con-man when he sees one in the mirror.
And, am I the only one who has noticed that during the first two parts of Billy Graham being humbled and having to rewrite history in Vince McMahon's favor they show Bret Hart matches? Could it be a subliminal message by Vince that Bret is like Billy Graham, unable to handle losing the World Title and inventing far-fetched theories about how the benevolent humanitarian Vince McMahon has somehow done evil things to them in their lives (and to be fair, I have no use for Bret Hart to begin with, so it feels weird to say something that could be construed as defending him).
At this rate, Bruno Sammartino being forced to beg for forgiveness on the weekly propaganda show should be occurring by May Sweeps.

-Superstar.. Billy Graham. Do you think you're what they say you are?- Ahh too bad they didn't play the Superstar JC video package. HHH & Angle had good comback package but nothing compared to Billy Graham's. I don't even remember karate Graham, that's just odd... So Billy Graham goes from one extreme and saying Vince was the root of all of wrestling's wrongs to the other as Vince is angelic.

-RVD getting High.. HBK getting closer to heaven- That looks neat climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge. RVD is putting his brave face on. HBK is more humble. Can you show fear with a hottie Aussie Tour guide guiding you? By the way, is that the same girl who was Trish and Stacy's tour guide at the zoo a few weeks back? Either all Aussie girls look the same or this one girl his holding down a dozen tour guide gigs.

-Outside the ropes: Tazz- Little disappointed, especially after seeing how good they were on Confidential just minutes earlier... The one standout Q&A was, "When was the last time Tazz cried watching a movie?".. Tazz Answers "It was a TV show and it was watching you(Josh) and Cat commentate on Velocity"

-British Bulldogs vs. Hart Foundation- Muttilda went and bit Jimmy Hart, when Hart tried escape he kneed the dog right on the back. PETA is going to be all over him!. What a total screw job ending. I guess they wanted to show that they f*cked with the viewers even back then LoL... Segment length 5:45 with 4 minutes of the match. First minute of dog attack and last 45 seconds with Ventura laughing that the Hart foundation still kept the titles due to DQ in the first fall.

-Triple sHHHill-Ummm okay... I wonder how many smarks marked out the first time the kid ran by HHH and HHH just disappeared LoL.

-WWE stole Stacy's Stuff- Stacy is going with a different attitude, too bad WWE didn't think of it first and it looks pretty much as a repeat of Stacy's Stuff Magazine photoshoot.

Yes, I'd been thinking of this myself. It'd be a MUCH better replacement for Confidential. But then, I'd also be interested in a show where each episode they archive the life of a former superstar, a la Graham. Just these two would be fine, filtering out all the other lame and useless crap they show on Confidential like the Diva photo shoots.
But this might make too much sense.

"And, am I the only one who has noticed that during the first two parts of Billy Graham being humbled and having to rewrite history in Vince McMahon's favor they show Bret Hart matches?"

I did notice and think along the lines of "is there a reason for these consecutive Bret Hart matches"? Interesting points you brought up, seems within McMahon's league.

Now am I the only one who wanted to wring and break Stacy Keibler's neck(lol) last night? I can't even get into it. Excalibur05, there are better women out there, better looking too.

This is not the time to have a From The Vault TV show. Is there much business sense to show matches from a time when there was more crowd involvement then now? I watched the Bulldogs match and marveled at the crowd interest. My first thought was, "Wow, they don't have crowds like that anymore."

Many of these older matches put the current WWE to shame. It just not smart to confuse marks or to put more distance between hot matches and feuds from yesteryear to the Test v. Steiner stuff from today.

Now if Vince does start a 24 hour wrestling network, then I would be all for a Vault-type show. There is only so much newer content you can put on a wrestling network, and the nostalgia would work better there.

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

George Zahorian distributing steroids in the WWF locker room, condoned by Vince, was not made up by Graham. Hulk Hogan taking steroids was not made up by Graham.

Court testimony, that whole trial ... Vince wasn't convicted of conspiracy to distribute steroids, but Dr. Z sure was there and Vince sure did know about it. Linda knew about it enough to tell Pat Patterson to get rid of him when she found out shit was going down.

Of course, the crowds back then didn't get to see PPV calibur matches twice a week. Fans today are spoiled.
