In in interview with Mark Callaway, he says this before his debut at the 1990 Survivor Series "I was terrified [Vince McMahon] was going to call me and want me to be a big egg, to shave my head and eyebrows and be 'egg man.'"
Even though he references the Gobbledy Gooker, I had just finished a long bout with 'Sonic Adventure 2' and imagined Mark Callaway as Dr. Eggman, a bald, wildy moustached robotics expert contantly feuding with a blue hedgehog coming to ringside not on a motorcycle, but in his Eggwalker.
That's like printing money, I say.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sean O'Haire ate Brendan Fraser. Celine Dion? More like Cell-Out Dion!!
I like the brand split concept, but think it would work much better if the brands were actually distinct from one another. One brand could put more of an emphasis on in-ring work, the cruisers, tag teams, etc.
