I've got the same confusion as you have, with TitanTV.com listing two hours of Smackdown!, while TVGuide.com lists one hour of concert and one hour of Smackdown! It doesn't matter much since what both do agree on is that Smackdown! in Green Bay has been delayed by High School Football, as Oshkosh North takes on Oshkosh West (it's like the Giants play the Jets, because both play home games at the same stadium), so Smackdown! won't start until 9:30 at the earliest.
I forgot that they aired High School Football every Friday. That means I'll probably see even less of Smackdown! as usual for a while, because I can't stay up late.

Well, this sucks. I tuned to UPN just now hoping to catch Hour #2 of SmackDown, and my UPN affiliate in their infinite wisdom has decided to air two straight hours of some show named Cuts instead.
I think it goes without saying that I am NOT happy about that.

Is that a joke? In case it's not, I will direct you to this thread's title.

Um... wow. *hangs head in shame* Nevermind. This is what they get for changing SmackDown to Friday when my brain's wired for it on Thursday. (Also, sleep deprivation does wonderful things.)

According to Zap2It, the Score will be showing the concert/telethon/whatever, and then an hour of Smackdown.
According to the Score...the schedule is still the same; it's two straight hours of Smackdown.
That's not all. They've updated their TV broadcast listings to show a 2 hour episode during the first airing (which you mentioned) but their replay is listed as 1 1/2 hours long.
Originally posted by ThingfishInteresting that Canada still gets it on a Thursday. So both they and people in the U.K. will get to see Smackdown! before the U.S. :)
The Score started their "Smackdown moves to..." commercials at the same time that UPN began theirs...except for THEY say "Smackdown moves to 8!". Hardly a crazy change. I'd imagine it has something to do with the rights agreement with WWE: UPN owns the US rights and can move it wherever they damn well please with enough notice, but the Canadian rights are probably independent of that to a certain extent.
I think it's more than just that. I remember when The Score picked up the rights to Smackdown, WWE actually bought a small interest in the television station. They hyped it up a lot when it happened. If they're keeping Smackdown on Thursday when it's moving to Friday in the US, I think it's a sign that they intend to be back on Thursday eventually down there too, probably when the UPN contract runs out (one more year, right?). And since they'd like to get it back on Thursday in the future, why bump it to Friday in other markets for the one year if they don't have to?
Any other Mac-using W's unable to watch the first hour of Smackdown? Normally, I can watch the clips on WWE.com with no problem, but now I click the link, WMP launches, then I get a browser window telling me there are "connection problems".
To make things worse, "Friday Night Smackdown" got pre-empted by baseball on the NY metro UPN affiliate. I'm guessing this will probably continue throughout baseball season. And I don't see tons of people staying around on Saturday (the traditional "date night") to watch wrestling.
They've ruined other guys (Jack Gallagher #1) by WWEing their entire style & completely eliminating what makes them unique, but it looks like they aren't - thank God - going that way with King Ric.
