Man, 25 year old me would have been ALLLLLLLL over this, putting it right between the Stabbing Westward album cut and the Machines of Loving Grace 12" remix on his mix tape B side. I may seek out other remixes the next time I have some time to kill (or see if it's on Grooveshark/Spotify/Turntable for me to sample - man I'm cheap)
There's some really good stuff here! There's also some stuff I should have skipped over! Also, they sure ain't foolin' about the "Explicit" tag. Also ALSO, "Respect the Pimpin'" should have a "featuring Snoop Dogg" on it somewhere because he's totally a "featuring." Also ALSO ALSO, "Be A Father To Your Child" needs a "featuring Roy Ayers" and if THAT don't get you interested in this free sampler, I really don't know how I can sell it to you any harder than this.
The Joss Stone track is nice and all, but although she could very well be the most charming young lady in the world, I still can't bring myself to buy any of her albums.
The Black Rob track is....well, it's Black Rob! If you like Black Rob, you probably already have this.
I still got the Adam Burrows track and since I was pulling everything else, I'll listen to the other rap sampler too.
Wow, this was ALSO really good. There are also some hip hop instrumental artists near the end which are really groove-y. I've moved onto Grooveshark to listen to everything I can find by Dert (dertbeats.com) now. I also liked the last track by Bore (The W at Amazon) but can't find anything else by that artist. (Note to artists: don't use a generic word as your artist name because you become impossible to track down later)
Now that I've enjoyed Vol. 2, I better go back up to post #19 and pick up the equally free Vol. 1!
Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson have shut down the most evil music project ever finally. http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,10003,00.html I guess after murdering two people, Love's had enough of the music business... did I say murder?
