As concerns Martha Stewart, I think people dislike her for the same reason they dislike Mister Rodgers. Anyone that nice has gotta be hiding something, right?
Fred Rogers was an ordained minister, a teacher, and a saint to millions of people. Martha Stewart is a rich culture-porn marketeer with a widely documented history of abusive behavior towards her family, employees, and people in general.
