13M was 09:23:32 Nov 30 2003 (43:05:21:17) - we survived a few multi-hour outages while setting up the berserver, so I think we hit this million just a LITTLE bit faster than the last one. 
We're ONLY four million and change behind acmlm, by the way. I'm not sure if we're gaining on them or not, though... (I think their code is more efficient, though - less "double" hits)

Well, they've had people that were so obsessed with hitting a milestone view that they put in a leetle protection... you can't view more than one page per second. Like, if you click on two links in less than a second, it'll bitch at you and not count them as two.

For Dr Jay, I guess whenever you supply a stat there is a danger of people doing stupid stuff to try to enhance said stat.

Ayup. They had to take ratings off of everything but profile pages because people became obsessed with 'em. Nice to see a board full of mostly well-adjusted people.
