If you haven't seen one, it is a nifty digital recorder that records live tv right to a hard drive. There are other brands as well I'm sure, I just happen to have a Tivo.
I haven't watched a commercial or interview segment since I got it (except for Raven's). The fast forward is very fast, and clear so you can see what you are scanning. I can watch a whole RAW in about 1 hour at about 11pm on a Monday night. I even watch Heat and Velocity because I just scan all the recap filler.
WWE is great is if is 40-50 solid minutes of matches. Try it sometime...
I was a VCR guy too, but I prefer not having to bother with rewinding or fuzzy slow motion and replay. The other nice thing is that you can start watching Raw at about 10, and just fast forward through commercials and junk so you've caught up to live tv by the main event. Anyway, just sharing something that has made my hobby much more enjoyable the past few months.

i like my vcr, because i can, you know, save my recordings, and not have to worry if i filled up the one drive...
that's basically all i do with the vcr...tape WWE while i'm at work, and file the tapes for the collection [i go back and look at very few taoes, but i have 98% of all the raw and SD's back to june 98]
i watch more DVD's than Cable anyway...
You can't fire a gun in a confined space! What are you tring to do, make us deaf?!" "Just get out of the chopper." "What?" "Get out of the chopper!" "The crops!?" - Jack Lemmon and James Garner, "My Fellow Americans", and the reason I say "The crops?" instead of "Huh?"
Hehe..somehow you mentioning FF I just had to mention this.. A few years ago a friend of mine watched Nitro and Thunder (thats 4 hrs mind you) in 30 minutes..the wonders of FF-ing through the crap
And heh..in comparison..the last time I FF-ed a WWE segment was when the RTC was cutting their promos after which they would fight someone like Rikishi or something.
"...And I use that to fuck them some place fairly uncomfortable." "What, like the back of a volkswagen ?" -Mallrats

Here in Canada, we can get something like that, but only through Bell's satellite service. No thanks.
TIVO (to the best of my knowledge) is either unavailable to Canadian buyers or is incompatible with Canadian cable companies.
Anyone know otherwise?

Having Roiland do the ring introduction was nice and all ... but I would have preferred the characters provide "guest commentary" (via phone) alongside JR and Excalibur.
