You can have your Andre/Hogan match, but they had faced each other prior and would face each other again. Piper would retire again. Savage and Steamboat was good, but they each would have better. However, nothing can ever top the sacred night, where the stars aligned properly and the dreams of millions were achieved. That's right: MULKEY'S WIN!

I wonder if TNA has given any thought to programming on Sunday nights on Spike against PPVs?

Ahhh, the memories. If I recall correctly, this win was used as the argument for their inclusion into the Crockett Cup that year (where Mulkeymania ran wild!). I also remember one of the weekly programs (NWA Pro, I think) showing a meeting in Crockett's board room to unveil the seedings for the Crockett Cup... where Jim Cornette threw a tantrum when his Midnight Express were not the #1 seed.

You sir are correct. That tantrum by Corny was awesome. He was threatening Jim Crockett and everything. I think the seedings were unveiled at a restaurant in Baltimore but the name escapes me...

They had 8 shows between PPV's back before the roster split, and all they tended to do was wait until the last four shows (two weeks before the PPV) to start booking the PPV angles.
