If anyone else bought this for any of the systems, I'd like to know what you think. I'm leaning towards the Wii.. well because making light sabre motions and not having to make the noises yourself is pretty cool.
I bought it for my PS2, and I'm loving it so far. The force/saber lock battles are right out of God of War, and that's not a bad thing. The buttons aren't as instinctive as I'd prefer (and I'd like the option of changing the control assignments with each button), but my hands aren't cramping as I toss Wookies around on the first level.
The game opens with the traditional logo, blare of horns, and crawling text, which is what I hoped for when I paid to see Clone Wars. As a SW geek, the sound library is worth the price of admission, more so than Battlefront. It reminds me a lot of Dark Forces, the first-person PC game.
I've heard it's a short game, as little as 6 hours long. I hope that's not the case, but I've already played the first level three times for the sheer fun of it. I haven't even gotten to the customizable sabres and costumes.
I do not regret this purchase a'tall.

I did not. Also missed out on the Lego games. But it's miles and miles better than the NES games.
The cinematics are very reminiscent of Dark Forces, arguably the most immersive SW gaming experience (although X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter may take that title.)
I love my PS2. I love my Star Wars. I am starting to love this game.

Loved KoTOR one and two, Battlefront I and II, and all three Rogue Squadrons, and love this game, which is very different. Controls and camera get a bit wonky at times, but if you're a big enough fan of anything you'll be willing to overlook a few mistakes.
Shadows of the Empire for the N64 is still the best Star Wars game of all time, IMO. Then again, I always thought it would have been far cooler to have the Millenium Falcon than a lightsaber, and most every Star Wars game since has revolved around 'Oh boy, look at my Jedi skills'.

I should have rented instead of buying. I don't see myself regularly playing it every few months, and the other major selling point (the duels for the Wii) are no longer interesting me after all of the boss battles where I hardly used the saber. (Running around while force lightning-ing worked fine for me.)
It is fun to play, but in a very repetitive way. Most area battles can be won by blocking all blaster shots, and pushing anyone that gets close to you. Also, I find that grabbing and throwing is much to slow of a process to be of any use; much better to force push debris into your enemies.
The story has done nothing for me.

What you've heard about Borderlands is 100% correct. I played it, was instantly bored, and set it aside. I went back to it later, got into upgrading my weapons, and actually enjoyed myself for about 10 hours. All of a sudden, the formula just got stale.
