I don't really watch anything on NBC these days except SNL and Conan so maybe these are showing all the time. If so, sorry to have taken up the bandwith.

I find the BBC original series to be one of the most flawlessly perfect television shows of all time. I cursed NBC for the remake, doubtlessly sure that they'd find some way to fuck it up. I watched those clips with extreme prejudice and...
They pulled it off. I really think they did. From what I can tell, they've got the show's vibe down pat. This may well work. (I'll still wish that Mackenzie Crook was in it - that fat guy never will be Gareth no matter how hard they try - but beggars can't be choosers.)

I agree. I was very pissed when I heard about the remake but it looks real good. But knowing NBC and their penchant for fucking up every good show be iehter revamping it in mid season or moving it all over the map, I am sure it will tank.
I think you're an asshole. No, no, let me correct that, an immature asshole. Which is fine, except that you're marrying my daughter and I'm afraid that my grandchildren are gonna be little assholes.
I can't say I have any faith at all after what happened with Coupling in the BBC to NBC translation. The original is one of my favorite comedies and the remake was just flat as hell. I guess I'll give the NBC version of Office a shot, but even if it's not terrible I don't know how much interest I could have in it when the original is such a high standard to meet.
CBS clearly sees Gus as a 4th/5th string PBP announcer for college basketball and football and surely offered him something in line with that spot. Gus probably sees himself as one of the most popular announcers in spots and an actual draw to watch shows....
