I thought I heard there was a wrestling tape store in Gurnee Mills. I was there yesterday, and saw no such store. Anyone know anything about this. If it was, and doesn't exist any more? Never existed? Is some where else in Gurnee, not the mall?

There WAS an RF Video store at Gurnee, but chicagowrestling.com says they closed up unexpectedly and it doesn't sound like they're reopening anytime soon.

They closed? Guess Rob's porno business was a bit much for the good folks of Gurnee to handle. I do think this sort of sudden change calls for a Farrooq quality "Damn"

There, I feel better now.

Well, at least I know if I ever wanna change the face of my cell phone, I can go back to Gurnee Mills, since I have my choice of about 97 different places to buy one.

I'm assuming this is another in a long line of the Mills brand Enormous Outlet Malls. I think my general region got the first one a few years back, and now it is sadly the most popular tourist destination in the Inland Valley of California. Last I checked, anyway. So I'm also assuming the success of Ontario Mills paved the way for yours.

Sorry. Our bad. The Virgin Megastore is nice, at any rate, in a Megastoreish kinda way.

Ours had an RF Video cart, too. I haven't been over there in a couple weeks, so I don't know if it's still there. I suppose if you absolutely had to, it was better than going through RF mail order, because you didn't risk long delivery times or incorrect shipments, but the tapes were still overpriced and poor quality.

Gurnee Mills is 2 miles long! Like an island.

It's not the most popular tourist destination in that area, though, because there's a Six Flags amusement park just across the street (highway - oh, the traffic makes me glad I go to neither.)

Anyway, you're right - even if you're gonna spend money on tapes, you ought to give it to people so they can get tapes themselves, then someone in business for it. Or something.

The Converse Outlet is there? Are you confusing the Mills (which is also Ginormous like Cubs Fan suggested) with that older Outlet Mall from a while back that I can't recall where it is or what happened to it? I know there was a Converse Outlet there in the old one because I bought a few pairs of Chuck Taylors way back in sixth grade. The Ontario Mills is all one huge gigantic circle with "neighborhoods" or something and there's a Krispy Kreme and a 30-screen Movie Theater and a 22-Screen Movie Theater right next to it on the periphery. It only came into existence in like 1998 or so.

There's a Vans outlet there in the Mills, I think. I can't recall a Converse outlet, though. Hell, I prolly woulda bought stuff there. I have no idea about the Fossil or Nautilus stores either way, though, so I could be wrong.

And it's still not right, if only because there is no Hot Dog on a Stick inside, which is like in every violation of the rules for California Malls.

ONTARIO! I DO LOVE IT! Hey, they coulda named the city after another part of Canada, like MONCTON.

Oh no, not CHINO!

I'm talking about the mall pretty damn close to the 10/15 split. It actually opened a year or two after I left SoCal, but I came back....oh, I came BACK for the GREAT DEALZ

Gurnee Mills is nice, but you don't go to Gurnee, IL for the mall. You go for Great America! Actually I was pretty pissed off that I got a season pass this year and they told us that they would "make history" by opening 2 rides. Unfortunately, Deja Vu was only open for like a week of the summer, and I was already back at school by then. Bastards.

Well, I saw the latest Clint Eastwood flick last night. WHAT WORKED: -The story. A few subplots delve in at the beginning that make you wonder where they're going with them...and then they all come together at the end.
