Soooo many posts on Kane's supposed "new look" with no hair and no makeup.... about how WWE has screwed up with Kane's look with the makeup scars...
Man- does anyone else out there realize that the black makeup on Kane's face was just the eye-black that he wears for the mask??? I mean, you wear the leather mask and you sweat like hell... (Mick mentioned that in his first book.)
The eye-black runs because of the sweat and smears on his face.... that's it. I don't think WWE ever tried to pass off that black make-up as scars....
When Undertake dressed up as Kane and removed the mask- his eyes had all that black makeup around them, too.
Just a thought....

I was there....When Chris Jericho beat Austin and Rock in the same night to become the first ever Undisputed Champion!
(And for the incredible Eddie/ Edge "no DQ"!!!)

I noticed this too Rawlo, and mentioned in a RAW post last week that Kane just looked like he had a bad haircut and the black paint he puts around his eyes for when he wears the mask just got smeared.

Cut him a break, maybe the guy hasn't gotten around to scubbing the smoke off of his face! It was a horrific fire after all.

Those industrial fires are difficult to clean up after, you know. I think that once those black spots are gone, we'll see some good scars. I remember when HHH pretended he was bitten by a rattlesnake (his feud with Austin in '99), and his eyes and face looked real bad? They could do that with Kane. We should know by now that whatever happens in house shows these days DON'T count towards TV. Yeah Kane was bald at those shows, but later tonight he'll hopefully make plants whither just by looking at them.

Yes, but he looked so scary with the smeared eye-makeup, I think they should have just said it was burn marks, and kept it. What's scarier: Big guy with fucked up heair and smeared black marks all over? Or big bald guy? Well, we've seen about a million big bald guys, so I'll vote for the other one.
