Am I to take that as you are still playing the 2003 games? The 2004 draft works the same, and they shouldn't touch it except to make some minor improvements, like scouting. Who only scouts 15 players?
I've got both 2004 games and I've played about 1 1/2 seasons of Madden and 2 1/2 seasons of NCAA. I was able to shore up my RB situation by drafting Anthony Davis from Wisconsin with my late 1st-round pick, and I just played (and beat) the Oakland Raiders, beating their new rookie QB, Eli Manning, 23-3.

I'm going to get my friends 2004 for like 15 bucks, and I know I can find NCAA 2004 for under 20 when the 2005's come out. That's how I got my 2003's, by waiting until the 2004's are out. Time outs aren't used for looking through your playbook. Time outs are used for stopping the clock. You call at time out and the play clock goes to 25, but the game clock is halted. If you want to peruse your playbook, pause the game, go to the Coaching Strategies menu, and pick the Select Audibles option. You don't have to change your audibles, but you can look through all the plays available. And you can do this more than three times each half.

Geez, I guess all that pausing really slows down online games.
