In all of the titles he won in the WWF (not counting WCW, JAPAN or ECW), did Mick Foley ever have a successful title defense?
Think about it.
He had the tag titles (as Dude Love) with Austin, but Austin got injured and they had to forfeit them. Did they have a televised sucessful title defense?
Then he won the tag titles with Terry Funk, had to give them up the next night and lost the cage match to the New Age Outlaws.
He won the tag titles with Kane, lost them to Taker/Austin, won them again and then lost them to New Age Outlaws at SummerSlam. Any succesful title defenses there?
Was Awarded the Hardcore Title and lost it to Big Bossman.
Won the World Title, oly to lose it to Rock at Rumble. Won it back and lost it again with a no-decision PPV match in between.
Then he won it a third time but lost it to HHH the very next day.
HE won teh tag titles with the Rock (and this is probably where he may have a couple of succesful title defenses) and lost them to the Hollys when he decided he didn't like Rock anymore.
HE won them with Al Snow too and I can't even remember who they lost them to, but i don't know if they had any succesful defenses in there either.
Does anyone remember any?
Also, does anyone know if I have even been spelling succesful right in this whole thing?
Going through some of CRZ's archives, I see that Mankind defended the WWF Title against Kane on RAW on 1/11/99, the week after he first won it. That's it for World title defenses, though.
Someone else can look through the Rock N Sock era, though. I don't really care *that* much.
Was the Halftime Heat(tm) when he pinned the Rock with a forklift a title defense? He won the title in Providence that first week of '99 and the Super Bowl was only 3 weeks later.

No, Foley lost the title to Rock at the Royal Rumble in the I Quit match where Rock chairshotted Foley into oblivion. Halftime Heat was taped two days later, with Foley regaining the title.
Re: the Kane match, I don't consider it a "successful title defense" if the champion loses the match, regardless of if he retains the title or not.
I think Foley had a successful title defense against The Rock at No Way Out in 1999. They went to a double-KO, so the title didn't change hands. Foley, of course, lost the belt the next night on Raw to The Rock in a rematch, this time in a ladder match, thanks to Big Show interference.

They taped Halftime Heat 2 days after that brutal I Quit match? That's just sick.

He successfully defended the Hardcore Title vs. Ken Shamrock the week before Survivor Series '98. Two weeks later, he defended it against Shamrock & The Big Bossman in a triple threat match, thanks to help from the J.O.B. Squad.
As far as I know/remember, he never successful tag title defense in the WWF.
I may be wrong but for some reason I remember a Mankind/Kane title defense vs. The New Age Outlaws where Austin and Taker were guest refs and Kane/Mankind kept the titles but I have no idea if they won the match. As for who Foley/Snow lost to, they lost to the Outlaws--I remember it specifically because it was the RAW after all that palaver about "Al Snow's Toy Doll Has The Cut-Off Head Of A Woman With It In Wal-Mart." JR kept mentioning how Al wanted to take his mind off things and relax by defending the titles. So of course Lawler jumped right up on all the jokes he could, especially when they lost. Foley and Rock probably had at least one successful defense but we didn't get SD! up here in Canada until November 2000, so I don't know for sure.
Yay, Jericho is going to be wrestling in the PPV. So they just had Jericho cutting a promo on Heat and announcing that he will in fact be on the card tonight against Cena.
