I've just managed to join a Mac to our domain, so the user can authenticate via Active Directory.
Naturally, this means a new user account was created on the Mac.
Is there any way I can copy the desktop settings, favourites etc from the local account to be used by his Network account?

Even if its just providing his network account with access to the other account files so he can copy them to the new account. In windows I could just go to the security tab for the folder I wanted and do it that way, but I don't know if Mac OS X lets you do that?

He's using Tiger btw.

Essentially, you have three options: 1) As mentioned before, use the CAT5 Ethernet cable(s). This will give you the fastest (and most realiable) connection speed. Due to you using a desktop, the cable makes sense because you aren't moving anywhere.
