I was so excited I wanted to celebrate-I went down into our underground parking and tried to overturn my own car, but it was kinda heavy. So I just did a macarena and went to bed, 'cause it was getting late. | canucklover

I watched most of the game last night (flipping back and forth from my Canucks' squeaker against Anaheim) and was really impressed, as usual, with their desire and determination. And Kipprusoff -- here comes the Vezina...

That said, I'm hoping we get an all-Canadian frozen four of Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. If hockey is dying on US TV, it might as well die hard.

| #26 Posted on 2.4.04 0328.33 | Instant Rating: 6.33 | Well, let's put it this way: -Playoffs in 74, 76-91, 93-96, 04 [21 years] -No playoffs in 73, 75, 92, 97-03 [10 years] -Final Four in 80, 86 & 89 -Cup Finals in 86 & 89
The team was mismanaged by Doug Risebrough, who basically stripmined the place and left. Al Coates came in and the ship was already taking on water. Craig Button came in and plugged the hole. Darryl Sutter came in and bailed out the water. We're afloat again.

Don't worry, at least the Flames have won a Stanley Cup IN THE LAST 30 YEARS!! Congrats to the Flames for (hopefully) getting 6th (or 5th place). That means the Red Wings hopefully won't play them until the Conference Finals (after the Sharks end up choking in the first round and we beat the 7th seed). That Kiprusoff scares the bejeezus out of me.

ABSOLUTELY!
MacInnis and Suter were gone. Otto was gone. They got SCREWED in the Gilmour trade. Reichel never got back in form.

| #29 Posted on 2.4.04 2339.09 | Instant Rating: 5.56 | Hey, don't get me wrong....it's great to see the Flames do well. I'm of course cheering for my Leafs, but once they're eliminated (and they always are, sob) I then start cheering any remaining Canadian teams --- except for those assholes in Vancouver --- and then onto the other original six teams, then onto long-established NHL teams or good markets (St. Louis, LA, Minnesota, San Jose). Then we get teams I'm kinda indifferent about but don't really want to see win because they usually win anyway (Colorado, Dallas) and then a long list of recent expansion franchises.
And then we get to the shit list.
