My girlfriend bought me Christmas presents from it in early November that year. It didn't show.
After numerous e-mails and phone calls, HALF the order appeared in JUNE 2001. The other half was no longer in stock.
Since then, I dealt with them for a Brock Lesnar hoodie in 2003, and a Bill Goldberg jersey for a friend of mine probably around the same time (if not in the same order, but I can't say for certain). I recall everything going smoothly, so it appeared they had their act together by then.
I pre-ordered the original Y2J shirt when it came out in 99, hoping to get in time for New Years, my first name being Josh. I didn't get it until March of 2000. I haven't ordered anything from there since.
I ordered a Mankind shirt recently and got it within 10 days. Not too bad. I remember when I ordered something from them way back when wwe.com launched and it took like 2 months to get to me. I'd say its been ok since then.
I was gonna get a DX shirt off of Shopzone for $25, but then I was able to get the exact same shirt brand new with the WWE hologram tags still on it for just $16 off of Ebay, and that price also included the shipping.
Since our commentary team can only correctly identify references from the 1970s or earlier, it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise that nobody made the connection on the air. (The answer, of course, is "lazy writing.")
