I could be wrong, but I took Stephanie's comment that she was going to "rip the heart out of RAW" to mean that RVD is heading to SmackDown, and taking the IC belt with him.

Who are you kidding? I personally watch both shows and like more of the Raw wrestlers than the Smackdown wrestlers, but Raw has been filled with crap for sometime now. SD! has been the more solid brand week after week and Raw needs as much help as it can get.
"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like that time I took the ferry over to Shelbyville; I needed a new heel for my shoe. So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickle, and in those days, nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war; the only thing you can get was those big yellow ones..." -Abe Simpson

| #7 Posted on 21.7.02 2352.35 | Well, if Steph takes RVD I'll be pissed. I still haven't had my fill of RVD/Eddy and I'm waiting for RVD/Benoit.
So, since the Klique stories about the nWo went over so well, they re-united Shawn and H and now those DX stories will go over so much better?
Time to dust off X-Pac's green tights, because once again he'll be carrying the workload for the group.
With Bicshoff and DX mugging for as much camera time as possible it will take away from the actual GOOD parts of Raw. Instead of Stevie/Dreamer getting 5 minutes to tell their story in the ring they may now only get 2, and that match would have been just a cluster fuck with less time.
Everything the WWE has been doing in the last week has just rubbed me the wrong way.

Idiot fans. Yeah. I guess those fans chanting for DX are the "marks". They aren't smart like us insiders. They don't know the real deal, jack. They don't sit here and argue over who should get a push. They don't cry every week how horrible wrestling is. They don't break down every single detail of every single show and find every single thing wrong with the show. What a bunch of idiots.

I don't give a damn how "smart" those fans are. It doesn't change the fact that DX is a dead horse that's been beaten so hard and long that there's nothing left but a few scraps of hide and a couple of hooves. The last time DX was reunited, it sank without a trace, and given how the nWo has sputtered and fizzled and generally failed to get out of first gear over the last several months, there is no reason whatsoever to assume that a new incarnation will do any better.
Thus, I will happily call anyone who thinks bringing it back a good idea an idiot -- whether it be a you-mean-it-isn't-real? mark, one of us oh-so-wise Internet smarks, or Vince McMahon himself. | ekedolphin

I still get pissed when someone keeps yelling that Wm/T.O. inspired Hogan's face and title run. FUCK YOU!!!!!!!(no offense) The moment he returned it became clear he couldn't be a heel for long despite killing Rocky, and the weeks after it became obvious he could have another championship run (which lets be honest wasnt any worse than any other champion since errr..jericho's first month or two)
Back to subject: return of DX or whatever isn't a good thing. But let's see if they actually go through with it. But..I am sure that if they do it, the first week or two people will go crazy and they will sell more new t-shirts (like the nWo) before it becames stale again..

| #12 Posted on 22.7.02 0412.57 | The thing to do now is to get HHH over, as anything. Heel, face, whatever. Just get him in the ring with the RAW guys, primarily undercard at the start, and have him work a match a week. And keep doing this until he: 1) Loses 30 pounds. 2) Gets a reaction, any reaction, from the fans.
No DX stories. No Stephanie stories. No nWo stories. That's the past. Did Austin do I Quit Matches with Bret Hart for three years? NO! Because it was old! [And it'd be pointless to book because Hart's gone...]

| #14 Posted on 22.7.02 1431.11 | Ah, yes, Steph's "heart of RAW" statement from last night.
The man and I were discussing this during the waning moments of the PPV. Our guess is that it's going to be Taker.
One--SmackDown is in need of a top face. Much as I like having Hogan around, he'll wear out his welcome sooner or later. Rock will be going off not too long after SummerSlam to start filming on his next project, so it's really hard to put much of a long-term in-ring plan together for him at the moment.
Two--With that whole "that'll do, pig" moment (as the man calls it)after his ladder match with Jeff Hardy a couple of weeks back, seems that the Deadman is in the midst of a face turn anyway.
Or, here's a really wild thought to ponder.
Steph DID say that "in time, I will rip the heart out of RAW".
Even though we've been told there's no chance of him coming back, play off of those two little words "in time"....and the "heart" of RAW could turn out to be none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin.
It's a long shot, but what the hell! Never thought I'd see "Uncle Eric" on WWE television either!!
