You have a near-infinite number of wrestlers to choose from. You could start with the MCMG and dazzle fans with their moveset. You could start with a Kurt Angle promo, since he's your company's champion. Start with Samoa Joe, since he's a future top superstar. Have a X-Division Gauntlet match! ANYTHING would have been better than pissing away a potential new audience by trotting out Dustin Rhodes! What the fuck are they thinking?
On a similar note, did anyone else need a freakin' scorecard to make the connections between Dustin Rhodes, Rhino, Raven, Judas Mesias, Jim Mitchell, etc.? Talk about a complicated set of feuds.
Hey look! It's Jay Lethal! Remember him? Let's look at what he's done since his big win against Kurt Angle. He's jobbed clean to Christopher Daniels, been off TV for roughly two weeks, and tonight gets punked out by Dudz. What a push!
When the hell did "Pacman" Jones and Ron Killings become faces? And more importantly, why?
I will, at least, agree that the main event brought the goods. It's just too bad the rest of the show was such a stinker.
The last match was awesome. I really liked it. I was pissed at Junior Fatu being involved because...well, because he's Junior Fatu. But then he hit the JUNIORDRIVER and that was pretty cool.
I missed the first half-hour because I went to see 3:10 to Yuma but it doesn't look like I missed anything worth trying to catch up with.
It's nice to note that one of the things that we were assuming we'd get once Impact went 2 hours was more X Division stuff. Number of X matches this show: 0. What was the X Division doing this show? Apparently -- although, like I say, I missed it -- being totally jobbed out! Yaay! But WHO CARES about the X Division when we can have what we have ALL BEEN WAITING FOR -- a FEUD between Crystal and Leticia! OH MAN -- THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD!
Jackie Moore vs. Gail Kim was not bad -- Kim's new finisher is pretty cool -- it's like a double-arm Union Jack. Hopefully it has a cool name -- oh, wait, it's called the "Happy Ending." See, 'cause Kim is Asian, and what Asian ladies are best known for are their SEXY MASSAGES. Let's all take the Women's Division seriously, now! I guess we should be glad that Russo has FOUND JESUS -- imagine what he's be coming up with if he hadn't.
Team Pacman vs. 3D SUUUUCKED and I'm getting pretty sick of all this Pacman does nothing and yet they keep talking about him like he's ACTUALLY contributing to the team. Pacman leapfrogs Brother Ray and Don West practically BLOWS a GASKET talking about how INCREDIBLY FAST Pacman is -- what, 'cause he's faster than Ray? SO ARE YOU, DON.
The Fight for the Right preview was just a straight-up Gauntlet -- rather than a Reverso one -- which gives me hope that they've abandoned that idea. We're now about an hour and fifteen minutes into the show and I'd like to point out that, if you don't count Pacman, this is the FIRST MATCH OF THE SHOW that features ANYONE who wasn't previously in WWE! In fact, nine out of ten of the participants in this match were never in WWE (the exception being Kazarian). "What should we do with all these non-WWE guys?" "Oh, who cares about them -- just throw together a battle royal or somethin'."
Anyway, MCMG were great again. Petey could maybe hit the Canadian Destroyer again some day if he didn't have to do his little gestures EVERY SINGLE TIME he attempts it. Kaz had a great bit where he baseball slid out of the ring, kissed Miss Brooks' hand, and slid back in. Eric Young wins? Really? JAY LETHAL gets punked out, and ERIC YOUNG wins the Gauntlet? PFFFFFFFFT.
And then the last match was great. Joe was SLAUGHTERING people out there. Yeah.

Yes, I thought the same thing.
I missed the first hour watching The Office. But the 2nd hour was not bad, and the main event was exciting and fast paced, with a crazy finish. Then again, look at the workers involved in the match, it should have been.

Actually since the X Division "isn't about weight limits" any of the guys in the main event could be in the division except for Junior Fatu. I'd say that was a pretty damn good way of putting those guys over.
Then you complain about not using the X Division guys and then complain that Eric Young won the gauntlet. Well, do you want them pushed or not?
I thought Joe, AJ, Daniels, Senshi, Joe, LAX, Eric Young, Kazarian and MCMG all looked good in this show so I'm not sure what else you could ask for other than Lethal being used better.

Sure, and I was delighted with that match, but it wasn't pushing the X Division. The X Division is one of the things left in TNA that feels unique, so they should push it (IMO). Having a match with a bunch of guys who could compete for the X Title, but who don't have anything to do with it right now, isn't really the same thing.

I want to see the Division pushed, but that doesn't necessarily mean that any (or every) given guy who has any connection to the Division should be pushed. Nothing against Young -- although, really, he hasn't had anything to do with the X Division for months, and doesn't "represent" the division any more than, say, Robert Roode.

I agree with you, and yeah, I guess that's what I'm asking for. Again, nothing against Young, but having him win the Gauntlet while simply throwing away your X Division champion is silly.
I would've switched places between Young and Lethal, personally, but I guess I still think of Eric Young as a comedy jobber. TNA clearly wants him to be more than that, which is fine, but Lethal has unfortunately fallen by the wayside.
Maybe the issue is that Lethal is the wrong guy to hold the title -- maybe he'd be better used as just a comedy jobber. But he shouldn't be both at the same time, which is what they're doing with him now.

this is 3 out of 4 weeks that RAW has done a 4.2 in tthe ratings. I think it could continue too! While this wasnt the best RAW it did end hot with the return of Shane Mcmahon and promoted Goldberg vs Ric Flair for next week.
