I got 35.25. The funny thing is that I figured I wouldn't get any right unless a song from Pretty Hate Machine was in the test...and what do ya know? There is one! I pretty much embarrased myself, I guess. I also got a bonus for being too young to remember all of this. I guess I can thank Vice City, my mom (for overplaying Sade and Duran Duran), and seeing way too many commercials for Best of the 80's albums for the answers I got right. I kicked myself for missing the obvious ones.
I'm actually okay with my 54.5 There are some points I just gave away ... I hate names that could either end with an "Y" or "IE", you get screwed if you pick the wrong one.
It's always a total bonus when you totally guess on something and it actually comes out right(happened twice times). One answer I did know my Humgan League songs and got 4 big points out of it. WOW I totally pulled a Jim Powers LoL... Of course when that happens really had to kick myself in not picking up my Men without Hats songs.
LoL SSS, I wrote down Rita dances on the sand... This was fun.

should've been higher, but how the hell *do* you spell colitas? Also, there was some hair metal song that also worked with a Morressey song, but the author of the quiz must not have known. Poo! I deserve extra points for obscure-ness.
Jim Ladd, who is the only free-form commercial DJ left in Los Angeles, wrote a pretty amazing book on the corporatization of commercial radio called "Radio Waves: Life and Revolution on the FM Dial" (ISBN 0-312-07786-6).
