1. Mission Select: You choose the order in which the missions appear in the game. However, from what I've read, there doesn't seem to be any storyline connected here, which is weird.
2. Active Link: You pick the missions and the game fits the story around your selection. So, for example, if you did the "last" mission first, then the game would take the plot paths stemming from that into account as you progressed.
Sounds interesting.
Secondly, apparently a great majority of the plot revolves around Yuna, Rikku, Brother, Shinra (an Al Bhed boy), "Master" (an Alien looking thing), and an as yet unamed female's search for "spheres" (i.e. the little data recorders like the ones that Jecht left all over Spira), in the hopes that somebody recorded something somewhere that will cast new light on what was going on in Spira before Sin and all that. Their group, named "Kamome" (probably will be something else in the U.S.) is being thwarted by another group the "Le Blanc", who I'm sure have nefarious purposes for the sphere's knowledge.
Again...Sounds interesting.
Oh, and Yuna isn't the only one getting a makeover. Take a look at Rikku.

Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)
Vikings (3-8) - I didn't see the game, so, uh, no comment. Badgers (7-6) - Being from Minnesota, qualifying for a bowl, winning at home. Oh, sweet victory. Buffy 7.8 Earns 6.7 points. Not one of my favorites, but this season is all about PLOT which is good, and it was a nice little episode of plot developement.

Link broken. Try again, sir.
Hmm...it still works for me. I'd post the pic, but it's awfully big.
Here's a different one that's a bit smaller...

Originally posted by SeVen ™Even though I live in Japan, I am still out of the loop about this game. I demand to know how Tidus shows up in this game.
Apparently a guy in one of the spheres looks kinda like Tidus, and Yuna is trying to figure out if it is him or not (I'm guessing it would be a sphere made post FFX, or else it wouldn't be that big a deal).
Or so I've read.

Vikings (3-8) - I didn't see the game, so, uh, no comment. Badgers (7-6) - Being from Minnesota, qualifying for a bowl, winning at home. Oh, sweet victory. Buffy 7.9 Earns 8 points. The plot for this season is awesome. I want to have Joss Whedon's children. Well...Not really, but the plot IS awesome. (Should I be waiting for the Marti Noxon sledgehammer of plot screwjob at the end?)

*sighs* I still hear no news of the return of MAESTER Seymour...so that means I still have no plans of buying this game. Even if it's for one scene I'll buy the game, but I have a feeling that won't happen.
Well, from what I heard, it looks like X-2 will be a strange game...

To be more accurate than I was here:
In FFX international Tidus shows up in a post game "Trailer" of sorts for FFX-2. A really grainy video shows what is quite clearly Tidus' back inside some sort of cage. That'd probably be the sphere vid from the new game. And since we know none of that happened in the first game, it's pretty safe to say that it takes place sometime in the second. Wild speculation abounds!
As for Seymore...
He was a good villain, except that he died. A bunch of times. So about the only place he'd have a chance of showing up would be in flash backs. Same thing, I imagine, with Auron, which is too bad. I'd give the new villains a chance though, at least.
