So I just finished typing out the bottom forty, went to preview the post, and I forgot to add a title and it erased everything. So I'll just skip it this week.

CLEARLY a woman who knows her target audience.
(In the name of unnecessary commentary, I say she should stick to Spanish. You know her "Whenever, Wherever" here just sounded dumber in English, as opposed to "Suerte".)
You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

The lack of a Bottom 40 makes me sad, as I was looking forward to using their likely appearance in it to say how awesome Straylight Run was in concert last night :)

was that part of the AP/VANS tour with Spitalfield, Gratitude, The Honorary Title, and Minus the Bear? I really want to catch that show here (for MTB and Straylight Run) but I wouldn't be able make it after getting out of one of my early evening classes. How was it?

Indeed it was. I missed Spitalfield and Gratitude. I arrived just in time for Honorary Title. They were...competent. Minus the Bear was pretty good, but I was getting antsy as being in a room full of hipsters can make me twitchy. I had kind of heard them before, but I want to listen to them more now. Straylight Run was awesome. Only thing was that, as a band with just one album should know, if you play your big hit in the middle of the set, people lose interest after that. When they got done with "Existentialism on Prom Night" and went into other stuff, some of the energy kind of left the place. Their stage presence is amusingly self-deprecating. Esp. Michelle, who kept apologizing for forcing us to hear her sing :)
I was completely unware that Gorillaz was coming out with another album until I saw that they had a single out. Thanks to Feely, I'm pumped for Demon Days.
Well, I picked up the new Hot Hot Heat & Stereophonics albums this week...and they're both top notch. Hot Hot Heat's first album (Make Up The Breakdown) was unusually good for a first album, and if you go in expecting a better album than that, you'll be disappointed. But Elevator is a good continuation of the first album.
I heard the new Stereophonics, and I was a little disappointed. It's good, but not as good as You Gotta Go There to Come Back.
I'm still way into The Futureheads. I've been listening to that album at least once a week since I picked it up about two months ago. It's just phenomenal stuff.
Edit: I just noticed the Aqueduct album on the list as well. That's also a pretty interesting album - there's some good stuff there as well, though I don't think it's for everybody.
