NFL: Redskins in the NFC, Raidahs in the AFC MLB: Dodgers in the NL, Angels in the AL NBA: Lakers Hockey: Capitals NCAA: Washington and Florida State; Duke in Basketball
For all your CZW and Nickels Trivia information. I am now the Sex Division Trivia Champion, and on September 10 I face someone who actually works part time in the WWE! Will I be starstruck, or will I hold him down worse than the WWE holds down Val Venis? STAY TUNED!
"Look guys, it's 'Lake Man!' Hope you can fit into our NARROW office, Mr. Big Lake" --MST3K The Collection V. 7
College football: Penn State College basketball: Indiana Hoosiers NFL: Green Bay Packers, NY Giants af2: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers (not a half-bad team, but a horrible nickname. Go 'neers?) NHL: NJ Devils College hockey: BU Terriers (alma mater pick) MLB: Boston Red Sox
I don't actually follow any pro sports, but I'm a big fan of teams with pirate-related names. This is simply because I think pirates are cool.
This makes me feel so much better about my own "picking teams by uniform colors" phase. That's why the only 2 NBA teams I've ever given a second thought were the Kings and Lakers - purple, plus I was thirteen. Penn State and Indiana were the only two teams that are my "womb to tomb" teams; the rest I just picked and chose along the way.
"You rock, Rolfski. You are one hep cat." "Ya, ya, sock it to me."
Basketball: The University of Kentucky Wildcats (Seattle Supersonics in the NBA)
Baseball: The Cincinnati Reds
Hockey: No real favourite.
It is a good rule in life never to apologize. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them. P. G. Wodehouse (1881 - 1975), The Man Upstairs (1914)
Out of the major American sports I only really enjoy watching football and baseball, so:
NFL : San Francisco 49'ers - picked them when I got interested in the sport in the mid-80's just on a whim without realising how good they were at the time.
Only gotten to seen them in the flesh once however - I thought I'd cursed them as they went 21-0 down to the Colts in the first quarter; thankfully they recovered and won the game 34-31 with a final seconds field goal!
MLB : Originally no-one, just enjoyed watching the game as long as the Yankees didn't win (never liked them). However, have now developed a bit of a soft spot for the San Diego Padres, mainly because of my dealings with their front office staff last year - if only all ball clubs could be as helpful as they were. So I thought if I was going to pledge my loyalty to anyone, it might as well be them.
As for sports over here, I support my local (soccer) football team, Aylesbury United. If you want to know how small a club that is, let me just say - average home crowd this season so far : 310.
MLB- New York Yankees. First game I ever remember seeing on TV was when Reggie hit three homers vs the Dodgers in the World Series, been a fan ever since.
NFL- New York Giants.
NBA- Memphis, since the Knicks associated themselves with Isaah Thomas I have forsaken them.
NHL - Pittsburgh, even though I follow the Blackhawks, since I used to work where thier farm team played (NORFOLK SCOPE).
Baseball: Hmm, this is a tough one. Might have to go with the Red Sox.
Football: Don't like the QB, don't like the coach, but still a Giants fan.
Basketball: Celtics
Hockey: Bruins despite the front office/ownership and only because the Whalers don't exist anymore. Brass Bonanza for the national anthem.
College Football: Notre Dame
College Basketball: Despite giving up my season tickets out of protest of them keeping a coach who should be chauffeured in a tiny yellow bus or just fired, Providence. Please hire Bob Huggins, please. Hell, I'll settle for Pitino's kid.
Football: Green Bay. I also like Cincinnati (comes from drafting Chad Johnson in Fantasy Football a couple years back).
Baseball: Milwaukee, and secondly Minnesota. I don't really care much for baseball, but it's always good when a local team wins. And I have to give credit to the Twins, who keep getting it done without a huge payroll (which isn't always a good thing, because it allows Bud to claim that they don't need a salary cap). If the Brewers ever win, I hope they do it by copying Minnesota's system.
College: The state schools. Wisconsin in football. Wisconsin, Marquette, and lately UW-Green Bay in basketball.
Basketball: Back in their heyday, I was a Bulls fan. Everyone had to respect Jordan, but I think my favorite player on the court was Dennis Rodman. I like to see guys who are good passer and defenders (the hardest part of the triple double for them is the 10 points). Since I wasn't a very good shooter, I imagined that I could be like him. Of course I couldn't, because I'm not good at any sports, but it was a nice dream for a while. Lately, I haven't really cared about the NBA much.
In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.

Baseball: Pujols is your god. Offer respek and he will spare you. Maybe.
Football: Eh. Rams by default, but any good Mound Citizen knows that the only thing more fun than rooting for the Rams is rooting against Mike Martz (first blown time out: one second into the season!) I like the Pack for my father.
Basketball: Fighting Illini, baby. No pro here.
Hockey: Double eh, with a little heart towards the Blues.
NASCAR -- Kurt Busch fan since, well, the beginning of the 2005 season (heh)
In college sports I tend to root for UCLA since a lot of my buddies went there, but I don't pay as much attention to the NCAA as I did about 5, 10 years ago. Too many guys leaving early or not going at all, I suppose.
Yep, I'm a convert, and the guy that drives this car is the TRUTH.
NFL - Tennessee Titans. I was a fan from back when they were in Houston. NBA - Detroit Pistons. I am not much of a fan, though. I used to really like the Celtics, back during the Larry Bird era. MLB - Chicago Cubs. I root for the underdog. NHL - Detroit Red Wings. Steve Yzerman takes a puck to the face. That earns MY respect.
College Football/Basketball: University of Michigan
AFL: Essendon Bombers
