Vince Russo has updated hsi web site and has stated that he has finally found himself and that he is going to attend the Denver Seminary Academy and that this is not and angle.

I'll give you all a moment to pick your jaws up off the floor.

I always thought there was a bottom to how low Vince would sink, but I guess each time I think he gets there, he digs a little further down. Vince a priest? Someone check the weather in hell because I think it just froze over.

Inigo Montoya: Who are you?

Westley: No one of consequence.

Inigo Montoya: I must know...

Westley: Get used to disappointment.

Inigo Montoya: 'kay.

I may be one of the only Russo supporters but just because he is going to attend Seminary school dosn't mean Russo is sinking to a new low.

...and then just as he's about to get ordained, he opens up his collar shirt to reveal a picture of Satan and punks out the bishop all in a giant swerve.

Then of course he turns to God again two weeks later with no explanation given. :D

I expect you fans, you people here in LA to do what you do best. RIOT!

I think its great myself, but then again I'm a Christian. This is one of those things that I really think he's being serious about...I hope for the sake of his soul that hes being serious. May God bless him.

Maybe Russo, Slick, Dibiase, and Sting can open up their own wrestling church.

If Russo wants to make a change in his life, more power to him. Forgive me, though, if I'm not so quick to accept this at face value. This is a man who has made his career on telling people "no, honestly, this time it's for real" and then turning it all back into an angle. I have a hard time believing anything Russo says, and won't be the least bit surprised if Friar Russo turns up on TNA as a non-wrestling spin on Mordecai (who, you might note, debuted on TV the same week that this came out).

Actually it was reported when he came back to tna a while back that he had gotten saved and like you i didnt take it to heart right away. But being a Christian I personally believe God can and will change whoever feels like, and from what Russo says, hes changed for the better.

I know what you are saying, and I'm in the same boat as you, but I have to as well hold some skepticism about this. If Russo can become someone like Sting or Dibiase (keeping his faith and using it to help others), then I will be very happy. But I just can't put it above him to use this as a publicity stunt or wrestling angle. It will be years before we can see if the former or the latter situation is the case.

Mr. Green: Who would want to kill the cook?
Miss Scarlett: Dinner wasn't THAT bad.
Col. Mustard: How can you make jokes at a time like this?
Scarlett: It's my defense mechanism.
Mustard: Some defense. If I was to kill her, I would kill you next. (audible gasps) I said if, IF. Hey, come on there is only one admitted killer here, and it is certainly not me, it is her!
Mrs. White: I've admitted nothing.
Mustard: Well, you paid the blackmail. How many husbands have you had?
White: Mine or other women's?
Mustard: Yours.
White: Five.
Mustard: Five?
White: Yes, just the five. Husbands should be like Kleenex.
Soft, strong, and disposable.
Mustard: You lure men to their deaths like a spider with flies!
White: Flies are where men are most vulnerable.

I can just imagine Vince Russo's church...

First,he'll force the women carrying around the collection plates to wear next to nothing, then turn away Mexican and Japanese parishiners because no one would "buy" them as Christians, anyway.

Ah, I kid Russo.

Eh, religion can't make you not an asshole. Ted Dibiase and Sting were always fairly decent guys, even before their conversions. Shawn Michaels and Russo are dicks, the only difference is now they're God-Fearing dicks.

I'd tell you to kiss my ass, but I don't want to get it infected.

The real lesson here is save your money. Otherwise, once your push ends, you'll end up dead or the missionaries will getcha.

And what kind of admissions standards does this seminary have? I'd hate to see the application of the guy who got passed over in favor of Vince Russo. I know that Christianity is purportedly all about forgiving, but it seems like the crucification on national television would be tough to explain.

This is really no big deal. Lots of people convert to Christianity or other religions after years of debauchery. I know guys in my hometown who "got saved" that were FAR more unbelievable as Christians than Vince Russo, yet they are still rocking and rolling, doing the church thing.
I bet he's for real. And that's cool, because if he has truly found a higher calling, then he will have far more happiness than many of the people in this world, IMHO. Having purpose, a sense of destiny, a confidence in one's salvation and strong morals will make any life great.

"Crom... I’ve never prayed to you before— I have no tongue for it. No one— not even you— will remember whether we were good men or bad, why we fought, why we died. No. All that matters is that today, two stood against many; that is what’s important. Valor pleases you, Crom, so grant me one request: Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to hell with you!" - The Prayer of Conan

Hey, if he's found some peace in his life, then great. I'm sure after rotating out of frenzied world of wrestling, he'd probably like a little stability.

What's gonna be annoying is when he joins the PTC and starts harrumphing about declining values of society, as reflected on television...

And it better not happen until the crowd starts *begging* for it, or we'll have another John Morrison on our hands.
