But my question is more what week would you like it to be? Two weeks? Three? I understand the desire to catch a few preseason games/wait out injuries to see how you're going to build your roster, but is there a consensus on how long is long enough?

I am saying this because in all my years of doing fantasy football, I have always pre-drafted my players because I wouldn't be home for the live draft. For our draft though, I might be able to be home. I do have plans for that night, but if the draft happens fast enough, I might be able to do the live draft as well.
Obviously my chances in this league are better if I am there live to participate in this draft, and so I ask these questions of anyone:
1. How many minutes does each person get to make their choice in our live draft?
2. Along with #1, about how long do you think it will take in total to finish this live draft?
3. When you are picking your choice, do you use the pre-ranked names list as the way to actually punch in your choice, or is there a different list from which to pick your players?

3) You'll get a list of players per roster position (ALL, QB, RB, etc), and there's a drop down box to sort by Yahoo's rankings, your rankings (if you've pre-ranked) or alphabetical. You can also make a separate watch list of players as the draft is going.
Whichever list you choose from, you click on the players name, and then click on the Draft button to pick him.
