Oh, and from what I see, it looks like you got rid of the lucky dog option. I approve: not that it really affected the outcome last year but I didn't really care for it.

The dropped score will only impact their private group. It will not impact the overall standing on the public leaderboards. This way it keeps you in the running if you forget to make your pick one week.<
Damn, I never even knew we had that. Did the game automatically drop your low score, or did you have to do it manually?

It was automatic for each of the three segments (spring, summer, and playoffs).
