That "rotisserie" scoring system needs to be explained to me. I still don't get it, heh. All I know is I had a 10 point lead over everyone that wasn't Canadian Bacon for most of the season, then all of a sudden we both drop like rocks about a month before the season ends. Uh?

Ah well. Congrats to the 'puckers.

I don't know how this league was setup but my understanding of a rotisserie league is like a BCS system.

If you have a 10 team league, the team with the most wins gets 10 pts, the 2nd place gets 9 and so on. You add up the points in the various categories (like goalie wins, goals, assists, points, whatever) and the team with the most points wins.

(ding) Exactly. If it's set up like the fantasy baseball leagues I've played in (which I don't see why it wouldn't be), they recalculate the standings every day. Which leads to wild swings in the first couple of weeks, but everything tends to smooth out later in the season, so that huge drop doesn't make much sense.

I know that part of my problem was the "Max Games" factor.

I had used up all the games for my forwards and therefore received no more points for the last couple of weeks of the season.

Last season I had enough of a lead in various categories so that it didn't matter. This year, not so much.

The defending National Champions, 38-0 last year, have started off 4-0 this year. This is a great story, thousands of people come to their home games despite hockey having absolutely no chance of becoming a varsity sport (thank you Title 9). http://www....
