A good episode to go out on. So long, FG! See you when the strike ends.
This episode had more of an epic feel than normal, which is definitely a good thing. And yet the funny was there, especially Stewie's edict that anyone who sees Peter must chuck apples at him. But you knew as soon as Cleveland met his end that it all wasn't for real. But at least it was all a simulation. Not a dream! A simulation!
Peter trying his Lethal Weapon quip was close, but Joke of the Show comes at the end when Stewie yells that at least the episode didn't end like the last episode of the Sopranos, where it just went to black in mid sente...
"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
Anyway, great episode, from Superman's maid and the reverse merman ("I just punched a big hole in your logic there") to Stewie's edicts -- and yeah, I'd vote for him if he could really put an end to direct-to-DVD Disney sequels.
"The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?"
I haven't watched this yet, but that's what I was afraid of. I understand the reasoning, but I don't agree with it. If he's a hero to someone, there's a better than average probability that that person already knows about his history of abuse.
