Anyone else catch this? I thought it was a pretty good show this week with a lot of laugh-out-loud moments.
Highlights - The He-Man spot was GREAT! Evil Monkey - "I am NOT in the mood for this!" Quagmire's "dates" - both the hottub and meeting his mom. Oh my God, that was beyond twisted! Doug with a gun - I totally lost it at that point. Stewie harassing Brian about his novel, or lack thereof.
(edit) DEAR GOD, how could I have forgotten the "Animal House" nod?!? KILLER!

Anything with Quagmire is gold. The only time I find a Chris storyline funny is when the old pervert is involved. I know its sick and repulsive but those two kill me.

seriously, that old guy is the creepiest thing ever, but it's hilarious each time he comes back. I too enjoyed Stewie sassing Brian about his novel. that was gold. i'll have to catch the adult swim rerun since I think I missed a little bit of Quagmire bringing his date to meet his mom. The three-way line to his mom was so wrong yet so funny.
"What good is mining nose gold if you can't share it with the Townspeople?!"
I thought this episode was the best of the new ones. I don't remember seeing the scene with Quagmire that they showed in the commercials for the ep though ("How much?"). Peter's quote of "I remember when I became a man," and then a flashback to a sex change. Great stuff.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I also like the running Jesus gag. "Can I say hi to my friend? Hi Jesus!"

Burnt Sienna Herbert / Animal House (so sick, but how can you not laugh?) The Evil Monkey The return of Joe's wheelchair nemesis and the second time Stewie picked on Brian for his novel
Nothing really stood out as *that one thing* you'll never forget about this episode, as the Fire Truck bit did from last week. The ambulances will have to wait their turn.
Up until Friday, the listing for last night's American Dad was for the Pilot (Super Bowl) episode. Then it changed to the season premiere. I was so happy when I thought I would have the pilot recorded last night, but oh well.
Speaking of AD, that "letterbox mini-movie" bit a couple weeks back was brilliant.
I can't believe no one's mentioned Peter's attempts to make Cleveland "comfortable" during his audition for the Bachelorette. Or Quagmire having to check the producer's closet and bathroom for monsters. One of those episodes where almost everything was gold.
The He-Man bit was so random. By far, I laughed the hardest at the Snorks, if only because I just discovered the Boomerang channel on my DirecTV, and that show is ALWAYS on. Plus, so many people probably don't even remember the Snorks. Solid episode, but I wasn't sure I liked the ending. It just sort of stopped

I really liked that, too.
I picked up on a few jokes I didn't get before in AD last night, and the realization that Stan was channeling Howard Dean during his "I'll be fun..." speech had me rolling on the ground. And I love that Curtis "Booger" Armstrong plays Steve's buddy Snot.

It was the part with the old guy looking in Chris' window when he head his shirt off and the old guy and the ladder tipped over onto the ground. A play off when John Belushi did it in Animal House.

It came down to the 11th hour, but both Variety and Hollywood Reporter's websites are saying that BL has been picked up for a 5th season. I think the negotiations had to do with ABC buying out "Life on Mars" from David E.
