It'll be interesting to see if any angles are hatched from this or if it will be just a recognizing of former champs.

Where the hell is Rock's name?
I think his first appearance on TV since last summer is way more important than the rest, who've all been around intermittently, showing up. It should be saved for its own special event, not dilluted by cameo night.

I totally agree on that count. Hogan, Austin, Foley, HHH -- all of them have been on television in the last year or so, and to relatively little fanfare at times. They'll do great to make this a "special" Raw, but they could milk a return by The Rock for its own special occasion. Maybe even to help sell a PPV.

Ya, lets ruin a big ROCK return on a show that is being cut to an hour across the country, and also being moved to Saturday nights in parts of the country due to baseball games on Friday night. Great idea pinhead!

Spike is (supposedly) putting up a live UFC event opposite Raw, so maybe Vince is sweating it a bit? I dunno, maybe some UFC/MMA-philes (of which I am not) can do some speculatin'.

Not to mention that SpikeTV is going to start airing the replay of TNA's Impact after RAW on Monday Nights.
Sure, Vince probably isn't sweating lil' ol' TNA, but it's a start.

You know, I always wished that Spike/TNN had replayed each RAW again late Monday nights/early Tuesday morning like TNT used to do with Nitro.

Kinda how TSN does with Raw now? It's good to be Canadian sometimes.

Don't forget the other replay early Wednesday morning for those of us that like to take off for a long weekend and don't get to watch it until then.

Arent most of his appearances these days along the lines of Heel is talking/IF YA SMELLLLLLL/Rock shows up/Rock talks smack? I cant even recall a time since he went Hollywood that Rock announced ahead of time that hed be at a show. Theyve usually just brought him out unexpectedly to pop a crowd.
Of course, I also have no idea what he's currently working on. He may also just be tied down working on a movie. | Mr. Boffo

According to IMDB.com, The Rock has a role in "Southland Tales", written and directed by "Donny Darko" writer/director Richard Kelly. It started filiming on August 15th, and according to an internet search, filming is happening in Los Angeles (since that's where the story takes place).
I expect The Rock to just show up on a Raw, since it can be a real surprise then.
In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.

I think Rock will practically always be tied down by a movie for the forseeable future, though he's always tried to make time to do Wrestlemania each year (including last year, when they wouldn't let him). But my whole point 'zactly is that his value right now is such that they'd be crazy to use him in his typical surprise deal without promoting it ahead of time just to get a big meaningless crowd pop. This isn't just Rock popping in to say hi every three months; he's been off of TV for over a year.
