"Fantastic doctrines (like Christianity or Islam or Marxism) require unanimity of belief. One dissenter casts doubt on the creed of millions. Thus the fear and the hate; thus the torture chamber, the iron stake, the gallows, the labor camp, the psychiatric ward." - Edward Abbey But he's still an idiot. Falwell is just a rich christian who happens to get his ugly mug on television and put most of the rest of Christianity in a bad bad light.

Fundamentalism in its' pure form allows for nothing but strict adherance to (fill in the blank) belief. Drums of war are resonating louder...nice to see at least 2 Sunni leaders (Egypt and Iran) accepted his apology.

This is a very interesting story concerning the morale of the Spanish troops. It sounds like they weren't too thrilled at leaving their mission in Iraq after Zapatero came aboard.
