I don't even like country music, but this is just hilarious. Seeing somebody going from a ego-driven self confidence to shock to anger in less than a second just cracks me up.
I heard about that this morning on Sirius....based on the look, she must have just performed, and usually they give it to the one who just performs. I give her props though, finally someone shows some realness to the fact they didnt win.
This is quite hilarious. I had to record the CMA's as they went on too late, but I heard the DJ's on the local country station debating it this morning-one said it seemed like she couldn't hear, but that's definitely an angry reaction.

At least she didn't storm the stage, claiming that the show lacked credibility because she didn't win. :)
I heard about this before I saw it. My first reaction was that it was incredibly ungracious and tacky. However after watching this I gotta say...I think it may have been a joke. Samuel L. Jackson's reaction at the Oscar's when he lost the Best Supporting Actor Award seemed legit. This was so over the top it strikes me as a joke. A bad joke, but a joke.
Alas, I have now spent to much of my time thinking about this.

I'm in the "she really was pissed"-camp. When she starts to walk off-camera her face isn't breaking into a smile or anything, so there's no sign she was anything but serious.
Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

I'm totally with you. I read the first couple of posts here, then happenned to see it later that day and couldn't believe people got upset. It's no wonder sitcoms need laugh tracks if people can't see that as a joke.
Originally posted by Karlos the JackalIf it is a joke, it's a blatant attempt to pull the spotlight off the winner and onto herself, which is pretty tacky.
Sadly, it's also pretty effective, as evidenced by the fact that more than a dozen posts into this discussion no one has mentioned the award winner. For those interested, it was American Idol's Carrie Underwood.
