Because it started with the comment (not from ye) that teams had passed on Brady Quinn for no other reason than they had their heads up their asses. A very strong argument could be made that the teams passing on him did a better job of talent evaluation than many draftniks, and it was the people touting him as a top 10 pick that may have had their heads uncomfortably located.

You could say this about the vast majority of players in the NFL. You could even say it about JaMarcus Russell. Obviously he still has some sort of shot at being a player in the NFL, but the odds are long and if you're asking people to lay off criticising anyone until their suckitude has been absolutely, definitely 100% confirmed beyond any doubt to the satisfaction of everyone then, well, that's asking a lot.
Originally posted by Psycho Penguin Please don't post about how he's sucked in his career and will always suck, because there's no way for you to know that.
Come ON man. Should we all just sit on our hands and say nothing about anyone until they've played four years and/or 30 games?
I've seen him play. I'd like to think I can spot whether a guy's got something or not. He's three years into his NFL career and we've seen next to no improvement from the man. He's still inaccurate and there's no signs that he's looking more comfortable out there or that the game's slowing down for him. Crappy situation or not, that's a problem.
I could wind up being wrong, but if it looks like it sucks and acts like it sucks, I'm still going to go right ahead and say it sucks.
Originally posted by whatever I hear rumors that the Browns may have contacted Philly about McNabb, and there are some fans hoping they could get Kolb instead. It should be interesting to see.
I have no clue what the Eagles are doing at QB. Allegedly they want a first for McNabb, which I can't see the Browns (or anyone else) giving up. Deep down I still love the guy but a change of scenery might be the best thing for him at this stage. I like what we saw of Kolb last year, but he doesn't have the strongest arm in the world and the Eagles receiving corps (Avant apart) are generally deep-ball threats, so he's maybe not the best fit in the long-run. I'm just hoping we find someone willing to cough up silly compensation for whichever one leaves.

I'd say the Rams having no Offensive Line is what has been their downfall the past few seasons, can't establish a run game, can't pass. It's not entirely Bulgers fault. | Psycho Penguin

Well, not acting like he's a horrible QB doomed to failure would be a start. It's fine to say his career hasn't gone well, but saying stuff like 'GMs were foolish to pass on him' or 'He's horrible and the next Akili Smith' are probably excessive.
