Of all the McMahon's Steph seems to be the one that has been a heel all the time.
Or better yet since she started getting a character anyways. The Taker stuff hardly counts and with Test was such a long time ago. She was just a girl walking out with him imo.

Do you think it is possible to turn Stephanie face?
I am not looking answers like 'her voice/acting way!' I am wondering if you can think of anything.
I am sure they COULD but I think it would be really tough.
1- people are so used to calling her names and hating her. Even HHH was popular in his heel days but nobody has any sympathy for the Steph character.
2- She is SO damn good in getting the crowd against her with little things her whining and bitching (not the screetching, though that helps..yet i am sure if she were a face she wouldn't do it)
3- What the hell would face Stephanie be like? I cannot think of anything that could interest me then (apart from the obvious cleavage)..Go back to this sweet little girl who claps for everything her man does? I don't see it..
The only way I can see it happening I just realized is if Vince 'destroys' the WWF, she saves it and becomes a "legit looking businesswoman" who takes the right (=face favoring) decisions..

So..what do you think? Could there ever be a face Stephanie? And how would you envision her character then?

"...And I use that to f*ck them some place fairly uncomfortable."

I would like to see Stephanie become one of the WWF Divas even if she remains a heel, it is time she bares it all.

I would also like to see her wrestle more often.

i dont know.... maybe if the nWo target her (or some creepy villian character) or even Goldust... and someone comes in to save her... she might begin to act like that innocent young business lady... at that point she could use her influence to help flair or ddp or someone to try and drive out the nWo..... keep her from doing extended promos or rather doing any promos for awhile and let the situations that she may be in dictate how the fans react to her... if they dont go for it then you can always have her as a heel again?....

i know i know... not much content there but there isn't a lot to base this on..... other than when shamrock 'saved' her....

I AM THE BEST there is, was and ever will be!!!! Dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!

I liked Steph as the innocent little girl. I thought she did better in that than the wife of HHH and ECW owner. Steph heel is damn annoying and like most of the McMahons she takes up a lot of air time. She can easily get any heel over. Thats why I say she dumps HHH and goes with either Jericho or Kurt. It makes sense if she is with Angle, because of the love triangle.

A Fan- I just want her off my TV.

I don't think it would take that much to turn Stephanie babyface. I think she got a lot of sympathy last year during Vince's "I Want a Divorce" story when he basically berated her and made her cry in the ring. You just need a good heel to do something really, really mean to her.

Look at her dad and brother. Those guys have flip-flopped back and forth so many times, yet they always get the reaction they're supposed to. In 2000, it was all "Shane's a pussy" chants, and at Wrestlemania last year people went apey over the Trash Can Vandaminator. People hated Vince at Wrestlemania, but they popped for him big time when he rallyed the troops around Invasion.

Honestly, the best way to keep Stephanie as a babyface after you get her there is to shut her up. The loud shrieking will only draw fire from the crowds. You don't see any of the other women out there yelling like she does, and they've got looks AND talent to get themselves over for the most part.

Don't forget that back in 2000 when Triple H was just finishing his fights with Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, we all accepted Stephanie as a face along with Trips. Otherwise we wouldn't have cared when she laid her best slap ever on the Cackling Crippler.

That's right, S^3, I remember cheering for her just because she was with a face HHH. I think HHH soon turned heel, which gave me all the more reason to yell "BOOOOOO!" at her whenever she speaks.

So, essentially, to make Stephy Bear a face, you need to get her attached (not literally, but that would be unexpected) to someone who is very over as a face. Of course, given her past and current "gimmick", she would have to stop being so annoying to not totally kill the heat of whoever she goes with.

Storyline wise, HHH is the one getting her into the building (she's on his guestlist.) If he doesn't write her down, who will? I think they are building her as someone who needs to be in a position of power to have any self esteem at all. as soon as HHH kicked her out, she became a babbling cry baby. Perhaps a type of borderline personality disorder.

I would like to give Stephanie some praise for her performance on RAW. The shrieking went a little bit overboard, but I thought she was the best she's been in a long time. When she stopped banging on the door then cooed "I love you" was good stuff. Plus she looked all happy when HHH opened the door after that, like the cat that swallowed the canary. I can remember the last time I thought she actually *added* something to the show.

But she DEFINITELY needs to keep the hair flat.

I think she could use herselft a little bit better. Remember 2 years ago the Angle/HHH/Steph love triangle? That was an interesting "Sports Entertainment" feud. After that, it just disapeared.

Now that HHH dumped her, maybe she can go back with Angle. It won't turn her face though.

Whatever she does, she should stop screaming and remove her implants so she looks a little bit less like Chyna!

She can be a face if she's not on my TV anymore. I'm sorry, I'm just sick of her, and it feels more and more like she's not even a plot device anymore, they just feel compelled to kill 3-5 minutes a show with her crap promos just to keep her on tv. If they come up with something for her to do other than whine to Flair and whine to HHH, then maybe I could tolerate her complete lack of acting skills and incessently annoying voice.

Don't hate the playa, hate his catch phrase!

I'm going to concur on the curly hair bit.. some women can carry curls to a good look, some can't.. Steph falls into the latter category by a long shot.

But on the subject of the thread, I honestly could see Steph going face.. I mean Vince was a face last summer.. Vincent McMahon was being cheered while SCSA was booed out of places.. the WWF, when motivated, can make a crowd pop anyway they want. And if she were a face, she could leave the whiny voice bit behind.. I'm pretty certain thats overacting on her voice

This will be like Maina XII. Great main event match, but nobody watched it. Two great athletes in the shadow of those less talented, but more over.
