According to Marty York (of Rogers Sportsnet fame) and a few other sources, it seems the former minority owners of Montreal's court injunction is holding up strong....my Expos are staying put for now. For possibly three years.
Meanwhile, the Marlins and Selig, as alway, can get bent.

Somehow I think that there will bea payoff to the former owners. It just doesn't sound like there is naything to benefit them by keeping the team in Montreal. From my udnerstanding most Expos fans are so disgusted with the situation that they'd never come back regardless. It really would probably be better off just to ship the team to DC, San Juan, Portland, San Antonio, just anywhere but Montreal. Even the former owners would make money on the deal then.
"Present day writers, especially of the Socilaist school of thought- base their various theories upon one common hypothesis: They divide mankind into two parts. People in general- with the exception of the writer himself- from the first group. The writer, all alone, forms the second and most impportant group. Surely ths is the weirderst and most conceited notion that ever entered a human brain!" - Frederic Bastiat, The Law, 1850
Let me be the first Yankee fan to say CONGRATS FLORIDA! THe Marlins played one hell of a Series and outpitched the Yankees. THey deserved this win! Maybe next year Yankee fans, maybe next year!
