Ok, so it's almost August, so EWR 4.0 is getting closer and closer. Does anybody know if there's a certain date it's going to be released or even a rough estimate. Or is it just one of those you should just check every couple of days situation.
Originally the rumor was that it was going to come out 2 weeks after the picture packages came out, but that would have been last week (and the rumor was adressed on his site). It sounds to me as if all but the beta testing is done.
Adam himself hasn't been any more forthcoming to me in PM at the official un-official EW Message board (currently down for a few days), so who knows. Marty probably knows a lot better than I do.
I'm so psyched over this game that I'm almost to the point of checking his site on an hourly basis in the hopes that the game will spontaneously be released. I SOOO need a job and a life. The end of August cannot be here soon enough.
I need another towel to clean up my drool.

The worker relationships thing (not sure if this was new in 3.0) is surprisingly huge in the gameplay. I was clearing out about half of the WWE roster (since most of the contracts are up at the end of August) and firing Rikishi made Rock so sad that now he wants to leave, too.

This is one of the main reasons I want an upgrade, despite the fact I have a nice little 3.0 fed going on. How do the Kliq/Clique behave?
...full of energy. Multi-orgasmic, if you will, in a cosmic sort of way."
Well... I got rid of Nash, which made Hunter sad, so he left, which made Shawn sad, so he left, which made Spanky sad... and Spanky's just going to have to deal with it. Kendrick is also still crying about me firing Garrison Cade, so I had Tajiri beat the crap out of him and put him in an ambulance.
I believe the different relationships (and some examples) are:
Dislike- Jericho and HHH, Hogan and Austin Hate- Bret and everybody in the Kliq, HTM and Piper Friendship- Jericho and Rock, Steiner and Flair (Wha?) Loyal- All of the Tough Enough Trainers and the contestants, also Heyman and all of the ECW guys Love- HHH and Steph, also oddly listed are Goldust and Terri Blood Relation- The McMahons.
EDIT: Ryland is on with some joint called .400 Software Studios now. The new link to DL the game is here.
I feel dirty for using the link kaz provided last night...
(Has anyone else had the *problem* of not getting any house show revenue? Sophie says that I'm running 5 house shows/week, at $15/ticket, but my ticket revenue for the first month was only what I made at my event. That's new, and that doesn't seem right.)
Yes I know that 4.0 is free. Yes I know that joining a real game developer is probably the best thing Adam could hoped to have done, and in a way, he is acheiving the dream of many a gamer out there. (I think its cool that actual wrestlers have played the EWR series!) And while I'm sure it will be worth it, reading that the next EWR, since its going to be professionally developed, is going to be treated as a professional product and not be freeware left a bad taste in my mouth. When Paul London finished his last match for RoH earlier this month (real life, not the game), the crowd applauded him and thanked him for his efforts. That was classy, and I want to be classy like that. Instead, the chant mark in me wants to yell those three despicable words, out of selfishness and bitterness. I won't, because I have enough respect for Adam and I am appreciative of what he's done. But I'm still thinking those words, because I'm a bastard. But I guess the bitterness is just another sign of my appreciation for what he's done.

I haven't had a chance to try it, but someone on another forum said you could demote Nash to opener. He'll get pissed. Go to the contract negotiation screen & offer him his release, which he should accept. Since he opted to get out himself, his buddies won't get mad.
Adam says: However, Total Extreme Warfare will only cost $34.99, a superb price when you compare it to other PC games currently on the market.
Is he insane? From free to 35 bucks? That's a hell of a jump... and calling that price "superb" compared to other PC games- that's a very, very big stretch.
As for the Kliq, I didn't mind any of the guys leaving, but I really didn't want Spanky begging to go.
If you play as WWE, be very careful about the risk/racy factor. All it took was one backstage brawl between two divas, Stevie kidnapping Gail Kim (and she'd never be seen again) and poof, I lost both of my tv deals for Heat and Smackdown. Kinda hard running the split roster when you only have one tv show.
I was just throwing together random crap to see how the game works until I have time to sit down and play a serious game. On the first Heat, HHH lost his title to Eddie Guerrero thanks to Eddie cheating. The next day, I got an e-mail from HHH bitching about how Eddie wasn't ready to move up the ladder yet and how HHH had to work his ass off to keep the match from completely falling apart.
I got an identical e-mail from Nash who jobbed cleanly to Trish Stratus on the same card.
Top it all off, Bill DeMott e-mailed me demanding that he get a push. Christ, he beats Brock Lesnar in War Games in the opening Heat match and it instantly goes to his head...
But the next night, Molly Holly won every single non-World title in the WWE. Since it's required that you have a partner in tag team matches, I stuck her with Stacy. When they beat La Resistance, the titles gained in image...
I'm disappointed that the newly added Romance/Wedding angles don't have a provision for homosexuality. After jobbing Kevin Nash to several women in a row on RAW, I was going to force him to marry Bill DeMott. (It don't allow you to force males to participate in Bra & Panties matches either.)
I just started playing this, just to mess everything up. I gave Ivory a goth gimmick. And I gave Triple H a gay gimmick. And I'm setting up a Spanky/Steph romance, since I couldn't make a gay or lesbian romance. Damn, this game's strangely addictive...
Vh1 and their 100 Sexiest Artists list can go to hell for not having Trent Reznor on there!
And yes, free to $35 is a jump, but given that most new games are $50, I can see where he'd get off calling it "superb" in comparison.
I've been playing on medium level, and as both RoH and as WWE, I've noticed that house show revenues are non-existant. That wouldn't be so bad, except that I'm also being charged for my full roster, written and open, regardless of whether or not I use them that month. Which means that with one show a month, I'm paying for a full roster that I can't fit on the card.
I've started a second RoH game where I'm just signing people who I don't want stolen and house shows be damned.
If Adam's getting paid for EWR now, will he still be doing patches/updates or has he moved on?
