Adam owes us nothing, he has spent countless hours of his free time to make these sims, and often does it under pressure of the so often ungreatful community this game has brought upon.
How many people do you know that have spent hundreds of hours of their free time working on a project like EWR?
I think many people in the EWR community are very selfish.
If you don't want to pay for EWR then don't get the new version when it comes out. Play with 4.0 which would of been the last version anyways. | VinceMcasshole

Uh, as one of his best friends on the net, I can safely say that Adam worked at Wrox Publishing until the company went under liquidation in the spring. He's been out of work since then. So technically, from the springtime to now, when both 3.0 and 4.0 were being worked on, he was making jack all as far as finances go. And call me crazy, but I think someone with a university degree in computer science wouldn't want to settle for work at a KFC. But that might be just me.

I think the community is ungrateful because exept EWR 3.0 and 4.0 all his other games (I hate to say this,no really !!!!!) Crap !!!!!

Do you not realize the utter stupidity of this statement?
First of all, why should someone get a discount just for owning something that is available FREE on the net?
Second of all, do you realize how hard and pointless it would be to check if your computer had ewr installed just so they can say "ok, you get 5 bucks off". Not to mention that this is pointless (see above)

Ryland obviously worked really hard to make the program, and what does he get for it? Peckerheads like this dillhole (read: Stahl) complaining that Adam signed on with a .400 to develop and sell his games. What's wrong with wanting to make money? If you have a gift, isn't it a good idea to make some money at it?

Jeez... it's like the old ECW sold out syndrome.
Just because a guy is making better money, and you have to pay for the game doesnt make him any less of an awesome guy, nor does the game decrease in value.
If anything it makes it better, as he can devote all his time to it, adding everything we've always wanted.
EWR is awesome... but when Ryland's first new sim comes out... it's gonna make EWR look like an abacus
