I cannot possibly be the only one who thinks Dupree would be a great fit for Evolution as its fourth member. Dupree is young, good looking, has a tremendous physique, and cocky enough to fit the role.

As for Evolution's high-class attire, Dupree just looks like someone who was born to wear slacks and expensive dress shirts. Not to mention that he actually grew up quite wealthy...

I'd much rather see a Rene Dupree in the role of 4th Evolution member and watch him grow as a recognized wrestler, rather than witness a charisma-black-hole like Mark Jindrak or an established name like Kane join the group.

Am I wrong?

p.s. Check out my link below for another look at how the WWE could be played out. The roster split is working very well so far.

Dupree wouldn't be a bad choice. But splitting up La Resistance? Guess that means another Dudley Boyz title reign.

Dupree would fit well in Orton's role now in the group. But the position they're trying to fill is of that of a big enforcer so they'd need someone in the 6 to 7 foot range that could just manhandle people. Originally held by Batista, they were gonna give the role next to Jindrak. But it doesn't look that way anymore:

(from Rajah/The Torch)

The reason that we did not see Mark Jindrak join Evolution this past Monday on RAW was because he made a bad impression on road agents at house shows during the weekend due to poor connections with the crowd during his matches. The decision to let him join the lead heel group on RAW is definitely up in the air.

Ehhh, he's too similar to Randy Orton, IMO, for it to work out for both of them. One young good looking cocky heel can stand out in the group and hopefully get over. With two, I think they'd both be diluted and wouldn't get over as much.

I still think Dupree should be in OVW personally because he's got tons of potential but is so vert.

Just a question...why not wait and just keep Batista in group?

I wonder if they might be grooming Matt Morgan for that role if Leviathan/Bautista is going to be out for much longer?

I don't know which is more disturbing. The fact that there is a Rene Dupree mark or that someone actually wants to see Batista again.

I'd love to see O'Haire come over from Smackdown and join up with Triple H and crew. I think he'd be a much better fit and fill the enforcer role nicely. Plus, he's actually agile in the ring.

This is what I don't understand. Everyone says they're looking for a enforcer type. Well, hello, they were going to use Jindrak, and he's not an enforcer so they AREN'T looking for an enforcer role. If you ask me they WILL use Batista when he comes back, but that still only means three wrestlers Batista, Orton, and Triple H because Flair isn't a wrester, so the current guy they are looking fourth is the other fourth wrestler, not the enforcer which they have in Batista.

They could always just turn Evolution french. Dupree joins, Resistance keeps the tag titles, it's the best of both worlds. More importantly, the return of Jean-Paul~!

If they're not going to do anything else with him, they may as well stick Nash in the "looming menace" role and have his actual wrestling appearances cut down while he acts as a big nasty cornerman.

The Enforcer? Doesn't Triple H fill that role too? He uses a lot of power moves in his arsenal (err..maybe one, that spinebuster of his).

Hell, throw Test in there. He's improved a little bit in the last few months.

I agree ... O'Haire is grossly misused (he's one of the many) ... he could be a main eventer if he's pushed right, but that's the problem I guess ...

They have Flair, who i experiences and classy. Triple H who is tough, mean, and championship material. Also Ortan as you say cocky, and talented and young. You need now a big guy with no personality and just a strong power pack. That's why they were right to go for Kane. That sort of perosn is the missing link, they have everything else. Maybe bring in test

Back to Dupree and La Resistance.... I really think these guys need to study tapes of the Rougeau Brothers. Not only was their in-ring work awesome for it's time, but they had the French coward gimmick down pat. Jacques and Raymond were years ahead of their peers, in terms of getting legitimate heat, and at the same time, giving lots of rub to whomever they were fighting. The crowd went mad when whomever it was - from The Hart Foundation to the Young Stallions - got ahold of them.

Would a Rougeaus 2003 gimmick work? I think it's worth a shot anyways -- it's a lot better than the half-assed crap they're giving us right now. Oooh, they're from France, what a great gimmick.

Actually, it's not really a bad gimmick. It's basically the same thing Nikolai Volkov and the Iron Sheik had going twenty years ago, which worked great for them. The problem is that those two young Quebecois are probably the worst Frenchmen I've ever seen. You can tell that they're trying to really push the French accent, which I don't think either of them really has, or at least not very strong accents. I think it's pretty obvious, even to people not on the net, that these guys aren't really French.

And that's the problem. It was 20 years ago. The WWE's moved on a lot since then, just as this is gimmick should.

Society hasn't changed that much. At it's core, I mean. It's basically the same. In times of international tension, the evil foreigner gimmick's always there for people to vent. Germans, Japanese, Russians, Iraqis, the French. If wrestling had been worked during the civil war, the Northern promotion would have had a Southern heel and vice versa.

(The Southern wrestler would have been better. Southern wrestling rules!)

It's just you against the group mind.
