I had no idea MVP was a Muslim. Learn something new every day. (Wonder if Sherri Shepherd was aware of that...)

I would have thought Regal would be much older than 41. It seems like he's been around forever now.

You will never convince me that Jim Cornette is only 47. That's insane.

Sting being 50 already is maybe slightly hard to believe, but he HAS been around for an eternity so it makes sense. It's only hard to believe because Foley is allegedly only 43, and standing next to Sting Foley is looking ROUGH.

Supposedly he (MVP) converted while in Prison in order to save his own ass from some pretty savage beatings.

It's also the reason for his full-torso outfit, allegedly - he's rumoured to have a rather large Malcolm X tattoo across his chest.

Heh, the son of Italian immigrants named Mark Copani ends up as Muhammad Hassan; whereas an African American named Hassan Assad ends up as the professional athlete Montel Vontavious Porter. Gimmicks can be a funny thing sometimes.

I felt the same way for Jarrett only being 41 - he seems like he's been around a long long time for 41.

I know Regal was a kid when he started the Lord Steven Regal gimmick. I thought Jarrett was around then - and older.

According to his Wiki page, MVP has alot more tats, especially on on his arms. A few were gang tats that he was quoted as saying that he "wasn't proud of anymore."

It looks like he got a few of them removed.

Szantyr is not a great name for a DIVA, but it would be for some kind of weird James MItchell-managed MONSTER.

Ahh, true. I didn't notice that the photo was from WWE.

I was immediately checking to see whether Szantyr was any word spelled backwards.

I remember Jeff when he started in Memphis (and weighed about 150 pounds!) in the mid 80s. I think they even made a big deal about him being in his teens then.

If you see some of the Cornette footage on 24/7 from 1986, you can tell he is VERY young there. That being said, I was suprised as well to learn they were both still fairly young.

Wait, Jim Cornette's middle initial ISN'T E? That's disappointing, for some reason.

Yeah, the "James E." part is a rib, naming him after Jim Barnett.

Don't forget, the Mama's Boy gimmick started because when he broke in his mother had to drive him to and from the arenas.

Apparently someone out there thinks it's a great time to cover the history & legacy of the most prestigious championship out in the wrestling world. The NWA, your opinion may vary right about now, World Heavyweight Championship.
