Myself, I've never been arrested, though I have been to court twice - once for driving on a suspended liscense (I pled guilty, paid a fine and had ajudication (sp?) withheld), and once to challenge a citation for violating Florida's open container law (I was walking with an empty beer bottle!; I won the challenge).
As I bonus, I've also been sued once - I moved out of a house two months before the lease was up, so had to pay rent at two places, though I never signed a lease at the first house. Shortly after I moved out, I went to get some things I left behind, only to find someone had broken into my room and stolen more than $600 worth of movies, books and electronics. My roommates said it wasn't them (and I believe them), but they still didn't tell me when they realized it had happened, so I said fuck them and stopped paying rent. They sued, I won.
Hopefully some other people have some interesting stories they can share?
I was never arrested, and I've only been to court once, for "no insurance card and an expired registration" tickets. I took care of both problems the next day after getting the tickets, and once I got to court, both charges were dropped and I only paid court costs for both tickets.
It pays to dress well I guess.

Listening to the 24/7 news stations and all the attendant information, it amazes me how people decide who to vote for. So how do you pick a candidate for the presidential (or out of country - your own national elections)race this fall?
