I haven't kept up with their policy changes in a few years. Are the wrestlers still allowed on TV (without pay) in order to keep story-lines going in cases like this?
I wonder if this is why Meltzer mentioned them dropping the titles later today.
I actually remarked during last night's RAW that Evan is looking a little jacked up lately.
(Please WWE, have Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd win the tag titles from Air Boom (ugh) and then let then have some super ridiculously good tag matches after Evan comes back.)

Well, they just lost to Cody/Barrett on Monday. One would think they'd lost that match for a reason. But who would Cody/Barrett feud with? Kofi/Ryder? Kofi/Ryan?
Marijuana was part of the original wellness policy, but the only punishment was (relatively) small fines. The punishment's been ramped up over the years to treat it like other drugs, much to some of the wrestler's displeasure. Booker T specifically complained about this during his time away from WWE (which makes me wonder if announcers are tested now.)

I have it on good authority that the production people aren't subject to the Wellness Policy (tm) (c) (sm) (r). So it depends on how WWE interprets that, considering the fact that referees are on the talent side of that divide.

WWE is still a long way from convincing me they care about the tag division. If there are no other viable champs, why not just keep the belts on Air Boom for the 30 days? Would anyone really care or notice?

Agreed. They only use their tag team champs to put over other wrestlers.
I bet Evan's suspension has to do with some sort of pain med he was overdoing, not a muscle building drug....
Originally posted by Wrestling Observer NewsletterThe violation was believed to be for using a synthetic version of marijuana that a number wrestlers had been using for some time because it allowed them to beat the marijuana test. However, the company announced a change in the policy and began testing for the components of the synthetic version. Because the real version is the one drug where there is only a fine, of $2,500 for a positive test, as opposed to a 30-day suspension, it has led to the talent that wants to use the drug going back to the original version.
That's kind of weird.
I wonder who they'll bring in to play Evil Evan Bourne.
