What was Terry Taylor supposed to be? Was he supposed to be a giant chicken or did he get hit on his head with a piece of plaster and just think he was a giant chicken. Was there some kind of story line behind this?
Ideally, if the story line had worked where was it supposed to go?
I believe the Barry Windham Stalker gimmick was actually meant to debut around the time of the Rooster, so they could do a predator versus prey storyline, resulting in Terry Taylor being eaten like Pepper the dog eventually was. Then, he was supposed to emerge from the giant egg and survivor series and get his win back.
Windham came in as The Widowmaker (not the Stalker) during his short-lived 1989 run in the WWF. The Stalker came about somwhere in 1996 or so, when Taylor was long gone from an active career.
It's funny. Reading some old Observers, the smart-marks really HATED WWF in the '80s. I can only imagine the IWC ripping WWF apart about pushing guys like Hulk Hogan, King Kong Bundy, Ultimate Warrior, Brutus Beefcake, etc.
