Now, if can please just get Tony back on the radio....

I would call that very poor timing.

I'd probably prefer it if he interacted with The Compass & Ry-Dogg more instead of just talking about whatever for like 10 minutes straight. And he talks about himself & his likes/dislikes alot, too. But other than that, he's alright.
Are Mike & Mike any good? I dont wake up early enough for them.

Mike and Mike aren't bad. Second behind Dan and Dibs on my like list.

They're hacks. Their only redeeming quality is that they get good guests because of their ESPN home...Mort, Clayton, Jayson Stark, and the like. The local station here pre-empts them at 6:00 am for the local morning show, so lately they've been on during my 5:00 - 5:45 am commute.
I've been listening to CDs, instead.

(if I've ranted about this here before, I apologize)
Every week or so, I try listening to Cowherd and I just have to turn it off. He'll say something that so infuriates me that I turn the radio off. The real breaking point for me was the realization that much of his stuff is pre-written, making him no better than the Gnome.
This is sad, on one level, since I like Chadd and had a good time when we had lunch together in DC after Tony's show.
Fortunately, the James Brown show (on Sporting News Radio) is on at the same time while I'm eating lunch, so that's what I listen to now.

I am still sad Satchmo is gone from my airwaves. Tony and his cohorts were my favorite thing on radio period. Mark, how is Tony doing.

I'm supposed to go up to DC for TK's golf tournament, so hopefully he will give me good news about coming back to radio.

I remember him always talking about how different markets were dropping his radio show. Is that the reason? | odessasteps

If you listened to the end of the show, he was sad to go and was already talking about coming back before he was gone. Obviously, those two things don't add up.
If TK had been "fired" by ESPN radio, it's doubtful that he would have kept his PTI gig. The Mouse ususally doesn't remove someone from one area and not all the others.

Mark, didn't he mention something regarding a manager before the one when he left that made his life miserable? He made the decision to go and leave significant money on the table. The next manager was great but his decison was made.

He loved the people at ESPN Radio when he started. He loved the people at ESPN Radio when he left. He hated the people in between. They ones who fired Denis and sent Mr. Tony on vacation.
