this season has defintely had its moments. the last few years had been pretty bad IMO, but i guess that's what happens when you set such a high standard. on a slightly unrelated matter, i'm kind of surprised fox cancelled futurama, being groening's pet project and all.
Marge: Mr. Scorpio, this house is almost too good for us. I keep expecting to get the bums rush. Scorpio: We don't have bums in our town, Marge, and if we did, they wouldn't rush, they'd be allowed to go at their own pace.
I saw a link yesterday for a story about the end of the Simpsons being near, but then I happily found this one. I've always kinda wondered about how they would end the series though. They've done things like looking into the future, musicals, funny clip shows (and nonfunny ones too) -- it's intriguing to me, but I don't want to see it for a long long time.
No Season 2 DVD til August? Damn. I was gonna try to swing that for either a birthday or graduation gift, but that won't happen. It makes me wish I had been smart and taped all these episodes right along.
(This assumes that Big Fish will be eligible for 2003 Oscars.) Awards shows are mostly worthless anyway, but if Albert Finney doesn't even get nominated for his amazing work in Big Fish, then the Oscars are officially a complete waste of time.
