As embarrassing as it sounds, I've actually been looking forward to this for months after seeing the trailer. I am happy to say it met my expectations. Amy Adams is frickin' awesome (shocking, I know), James Marsden totally redeems himself from being Cyclops, and Patrick Dempsey is effective as the constantly puzzled real-worlder. Timothy Spall totally steals the show every time he's on camera though.
I took my girlfriend to see it, and we both adored it.
During the ballroom dance song, I teared up. It was such a sweet scene.
James Marsden looked like he was having FUN during the movie. And Amy Adams...wow!
(edited by Oliver on 28.11.07 1819) I've seen 17 movies so far this year: Because I Said So - (2*); Borat - (5*); Children Of Men - (4*); Die Hard 4 - (5*); Evan Almighty - (3.5*); Fantastic Four 2 - (4.5*); Hairspray - (5*); Harry Potter 5 - (4*); Knocked Up - (4*); The Last Mimsy - (4*); Mr. Brooks - (4*); Resident Evil: Extinction - (3.5*); Shrek The Third - (3*); Simpsons Movie - (3*); Spiderman 3 - (3.5*); Superbad - (1*); Transformers - (2*)
Practically the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far has had the "evil opposites" theme; you could practically pair all the villains up and call them the Linear Guild. Not that it makes the films any less awesome in my estimation.
