You will no longer bear witness to the Elimination Chamber in February. It's been tentatively moved to June and will be replaced by the historic first ever "Fast Lane" PPV.
Since there's only one world title and Brock Lesnar is working neither an Elimination Chamber match nor the Elimination Chamber PPV, WWE didn't have a storyline reason to do the Chamber that month so they punted it downfield. In a larger sense, since the Chamber was put in February so that people wouldn't skip the show between Rumble and Wrestlemania, that strategy no longer matters since most Networkers who get the Rumble are going to be subscribed through February no matter what.
I never liked the EC in February era since it watered down the road to Wrestlemania; "win the all-important Royal Rumble to earn the main event at the showcase of the immortals! or just try again as one of twelve guys in a Chamber match the next month." It also, as with every gimmick PPV besides Money In The Bank, took away a useful stipulation from when it could've been a more appropriate or needed booking option -- like, how about Cena/Reigns/Orton/Kane/Ambrose/Reigns in the Chamber at Payback isn't of that garbage fourway. It's a routinely excellent match and show though, so better to have it deployed during the dog days. Actually I think it could be the saving grace of the Survivor Series' long-dying brand, but that's presumably not going to happen.

Survivor Series Team Elimination Chamber Match.
You cram a team of 4 guys in each of those pods and I'll buy 10 network subs for that match.
I would like them to do the same with HitC. The Cell should be the be all end all of drawn out blood feuds, not something you stick guys in once a year. Not that the WWE has those types of feuds anymore, so whatever.
The Chamber would be kind of a cool addition to the Survivor Series format. Turn it into a team concept blending Survivor Series, War Games and The Chamber all in one.

I wanted this so badly at this year's event which featured the Shield vs. the Wyatts in a six-man tag. The Chamber was right there, such a wasted opportunity.
I could see them potentially moving Money in the Bank to take the spot of one of the filler September/October shows. Really, they need to space out their important shows so that there's a reason to, say, not let your network subscription lapse after Summerslam and renew it for the Rumble in January.

What they should do is combine Money in the Bank and Survivor Series. Do 4 or 5 elimination tags with all of the survivors advancing to MITB at the end of the night. Puts Survivor Series back on the map as one of the big four.
I like both shows but Velocity is better, even though the Cat is on it. I guess because Smackdown has better workers. Josh is improving each week, and even made me laugh during the Jamie "By God" Noble-Sean Evans match.
